Hey guys, I'm a level 45 Galka MNK/WAR with decent equip looking for a Static party. Please /tell me in game or post here if you have any openings! Thanks!

Dude you might as well conitune to xp alone. its quite sad but mnk, along with sam,drg, and soon to be nin are very underappeicated. to realy even stand a chance getting a pty you should have Okotes, Tourney patas, (at that lv only things realy important) lv 40+ for melee to get ptys all comes down to who has the better eqipment, its realy a sad state of affairs this game is in but not realy much can be done. but the up side to being a mnk is when you get around 70ish and you start seriously xping on Skeletons >.> invites get very nice...but if you dont have time to sit in jeuno and seek pty 4+ hours you might as well give up mnk and become a pld (or a mage though galka mages are very expensive from the get go)

Covex, I would keep on going solo for now simply becouse it is hard to find five people who want to static with jobs you need in the upper levels. I put of lvling MNK for several months waiting for statics that never materialized. That said you don't have to have the best equipment to get a party either most people just look at the job before asking an invite although some put thier "uber" equipment in thier tag line the amount of influence "uber" has over good equipment is well overstated, especially when the lvl 40MNK stuff is pushing 5-6mil in total now.
Get ready for long waits though followed by bursts where you get a lot of exp (MNK is still a very good DD in these levels just that all peopel care about is doing distortion even on mobs resistant to distortion). To keep yourself entertained I would suggest doing ballistas they are fun and give 400exp, not much granted but after looking for parties in Jueno for several hours I was so bored I just wanted something to do.

Ok, now that the negative bug bit someone, i have some things to say.

I am a WAR, and as a WAR, i am stuck with the same stigma you are (though it was probably easier before lvl 40 since i was a capable tank then). People dont realize the damage our jobs are capable of, and so we (MNK WAR SAM DRG DRK) dont get the first, or even the second or third invite.

I easily overcome this problem, by makeing my own parties. Im sure youve heard this before, but it is the answer to your problems. OF course if you find a static party, thern that is great, but if you dont, then you should learn to be a good party leader. To be a good party leader, you need to know where to camp ( http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=10&mid=1096838303937842675&num=95 ) and what makes a decent party setup. Please dont quit a job you enjoy, because soemone says youll have a hard time getting parties ><

As of lvl 50, there are some places you can go to do bone parties, and you should research those places, and find other monks willing to join you.

In response to Misakito, I guess I have better than decent gear: O.Kote, Brown Belt, 2x Sniper's or 2x STR rings, Rep Subligar, Fed Kyahan, Juju Gi, but I prefer to use Mith Knuckles +1 ( 1 less damage, lower delay, and +3 acc ) because my DoT is better with them. I have the best gear for my level available and I out damage Rangers and Black Mages from time to time and depending on mob type. ( Yes I parsed it )

I guess I will just keep LFG on my own, I'd probably level faster that way anyway. =P

EDIT: In response to Agawulf. Hey bud, yeah I have been doing Ballista and I've gotten about 1k xp from them. Sometimes it gets annoying when people run away to find 3 other team mates because that is the only way they can take you down. Also the Ballista 40 cap times are right in the middle of the day every other day and sometimes I have work so I miss out.
