Who are the gilsellers?Follow

well i dont know how long youve been playing on shiva or ff11 for but i would of thought youd know how gillsellers camp NMs, you took what i said the wrong way do normal ppl farming NMs try mpking ppl when they loose pull on NMs? also i dont really care what you have to say nuzin as you dont even know gillsellers when your mining next to them or talking to them.



theres a big diffrence you and a gillseller you go off and lvl
using the gill you made where as the gillsellers just keep it and sell it on the net.

Ive been playing since beta then NA release and shiva for long enough, How come I never have a problem with campin NM's and farming? Don't you have better things to talk about? Like hey, i ran into that new shadow NM in krotchstamp higlands and it pwned me, or wheeeeeee lets do missions, but NOOOOO, gilseller this, gilsellers that. The reason I post the way I do is because you people have so much energy to want to 'clean up' this virtual world, Its still only a game, I enjoy this game. Why don't you use the energy you have and set up a neighborhood watch, i mean you are so proficient with profiling the bad guys, do it for your community, keep your streets clean. People cry so hard and long about this place, what about where you live? You should look OUTSIDE the box as well since you are so good at pointing fingers. Make it useful. whatever.

I saw Honeybear camping at the top of Delkfutt's Tower and he actually helped me with the rank 4 fight (I was only like 35 PLD at the time) since I was only a 32 WHM and used sneak/invis to get up there. He sounds like a gilseller (which is low) but at least he offered to help me with a mission so he isn't a complete jerk.

I saw him up there about 2 weeks later when I was a 46 or so PLD and helped a friend with his rank 4. I /sea all honeybear every once in awhile and he is almost always camped in there lately.

Also: Today I responded to a /shout in Jeuno for help on Rank 5 for 100K. I saw that the person was level 59 so I figured "heck they won't be a leech so this should be quick and easy." I said I would help out, and they didn't have ANYTHING in Jeuno done yet, which was annoying. I decided I would bite the bullet, since I was low on cash after buying my Dark Staff. They had obviously done NO research on the mission since they did not have Tenshodo Memberships yet or any of the items (they did not know where Aldo was).

Here was the weird part: Rather than buy the items from the AH themselves they either gave me the money and asked me. I bought their tenshodo invites and the couerl meat for the Crest of Davoi with money they gave me. My first thought was "WTH they don't know where these things are on the AH and they are level 59?"

She asked me if her whole LS could join us. There were 6 of them, all exactly at level 59 so I assumed they were a static. She was a mithra RDM with all NPC store-bought or NM drop gear (no AF, no crafted-only items like elemental staves).

I can't remember her name but the gear and the suspicion that arose from her either not knowing how to search for things on the AH or her desire to not have her name on the AH record (that could have been it) was just plaing weird.

She had a WHM with her, a Taru named Applekiller, also level 59. He had RSE pants and shoes and a Dark Staff (at least). Neither of them had any idea whatsoever what they had to do to even get ready to travel to Davoi, Beadeaux, or Castle O for rank 5. When she told me that her LS/static whatever wanted help I told her that they should make a party and we should Alliance (7 people total). When she said that none of them had their items either, I just gave up. It wasn't worth 100K to walk 6 level 59 "noobs" around Jeuno because they didn't take 5 minutes to research the mission.

She offered me 50K and said "Next time I need help you help me OK?" I told her if she took care of her research she shouldn't need my help at her level and declined her money offer. She spoke very broken English and her compatriot didn't seem to speak any at all.

Their behavior in general just arose major suspicion in me and I have never run into them before leveling or anything. If my suspicions were unfounded I apologize, and deserve my rates down. If any of you have encountered suspicious behavior by them let me know so I can Blist them before they harangue me for help in the future.

Dankness just seems like an idiot I'm Mean DRK/BLM and no life belt miss miss miss miss, she can't be a gillseller, gillsellers need to be good gamers...

It's True new LS called Killers are gillsellers I know this couse I was camping in sea serpant grotta and killers + Supers where there aswell, I'm not going to get into to much detail but they openly MPK each other couse they gillsellers and gilsellers don't call GM...

I'm gunna say this out in the open I like Gards and Supers and I'll tell you why, couse the new bread of gillsellers are A/holes I saved 2 of them from a MPK and ... and they keep attempting to try the /tell trick on me where they send giberish over tell so you'll miss/tell info to them while camping.. it's dis-respectful!
but easily avoidable if you know what your doing (Just don't responed to gillsellers) let them talk away...!

When getting RDM TEST from Ruby Qudav Gardwind & Gardlove would camp NM aswell they helpped me get Test alout of times but as soon as they got in my way at getting test couse I was in a PT of my own I imedietly started to MPK them... but they forgave me right after, they also give me raise 3s when I need it and help with heals on occasion... it's there job they don't need trouble but I sure as hell not gunna stop anyone from MPKing any gillseller I would stand and /laugh!

In conslusion with out gillseller how would we find out all the good NM camping spots... I mean all ya gotta do is follow them around for a day, watch what they kill otta be a placeholder and see how they camp. you want to learn how to camp see how the pros do it LOL@!

I'm sure this is old, but I couldn't resist.

Not to rain in on your parade Paltek but the gil-sellers will eventually enter Sky and Sea. Just like any virus they will adapt and complete what has to be done if they find a legitimate, stable gil source up there. The reason they would adapt would be if their "owners" see it as a good buisness move to enter Sky or Sea and force the ppl playing as the gil-sellers to get there or face losing their jobs. =(

The first step in preventing gilselling is knowing who the gilsellers are, once thats accomplished there jobs become harder...(Couse who is gunna help a know gilsller?)

Think of all the missions like killing a GOD or Hakutaku that you need 18+players. The worst that could really happen is all the gilsellers on Shiva making a new Web-site and banning together,and starting up a HNMLS... like I wrote before they MPK each other openly and if that stopped we would see players become poor and the rich trying to make laws from keeping the beggers off the streets of jeuno TOTAL ANARCHY@!

P.S. In my last online game I was a space pirate in EVE ONLINE and I would smuggle slaves accross the gallente border for money and a thrill, I'M NOT GOING BACK@!

I have run into this party just recently in Kuftal = Jiolvo, Gogoli, Fieldo, Thlpes, Poiliu and Roseya. All wearing assault jerkins or something - really rude since they camped right on top of my melee, so that para-ga and silence-ga would hit us all. /sigh

eh whatever. in my eyes ALL gisellers are trash. i dont give a flying **** how nice they are. ive had one of the supers raise me in kuftal before but i still hope they get banned from the game.
