why is every recruitment thread we post have to have something talked about other than ppl that might be interested in joining our ls .. we aren't looking to start any problems with ppl .. granted the discussion was good for a bit and no one was being scrappy or making accusations at ppl till the end of it.. but really , why not make a diff post about it somewhere else. aleks point was simple we just want to get back to having fun .. not saying that what u guys do isn't fun to you .. everyone finds diff things fun and to us we are just trying to find a path for us that is fun .. thats why there is so many diff ls's .. granted only 64 ppl can be on one at any one time ... but it gives variety in the game .. imo everyone just needs to chill out .. i'm one of those ppl cause i can get a temper at time .. unless someone is attacking u personally either be a bigger man/woman and just ignore it or blist them ..

Hello, my name is Ruroni. Many people on shiva may know me or have seen me before. I have taken many roles in my time with FFXI. Chi blaster for gods for DVS3, tank/soloer for AFs for lower level characters, greedy ******* more concerned about avengers dropping than my pld friend who got a bq ring, friend, ally, jerk, madman, told people off, built people up, selfishly said no to a request for help, told my girlfriend we'll have to out to dinner another time, "x" really could use my help. Point is I'm not perfect, neither is anyone here nor is any linkshell. Over a year and a helf ago I got invited to a party as thf/rdm (i know whata freakin noob I was huh?) and I met Miriel, Jae, and Alivas. Just some dudes who were friends and had this cool linkshell where they just chilled and did stuff. I asked if I could join and was welcomed into DVS. For months and months, I had fun in DVS, we shared victories and defeats, both in game and personal. Made many great friends, and continued on this way for some time.
As more and more of us reached that elusive title of "high level" talks about sky and gods started up. As a 59 mnk I had no idea really what all this was, but I powered my way up along with a large group of my dvs friends to around 71 by the time we got DVS3 rolling. It was great, fighting new things all the time, experiencing new stuff, farming for god items, seeing all we could get, farming some more, people trying to rack up as many sky hours as possible.. more farming, almost everyday now... greed.... jealousy.... temper tantrums...... As you can see, for me at least it went downhill fast. The LS wars ******** reaaaally got to me, people deliberately ******* with me ruining my leisure time so they could get some gil. Especially after a particularly big issue, sky was put on hold for a week. I was more than happy, I never really wanted to go back up there. The place had even made me think of myself getting shura gear (yeah I'm probably the one mr happy up there was talking about) before others and how I could manage it. I took a long look at myself, at the shell, and at the game. I played barely if at all for a bit over a week.
Then something someone said snapped me out of it like smelling salts. I got a message from a friend. He and some other friends of mine from DVS3 wondered where I had been. Some wanted to pt, some wanted to do missions, and some just wanted to fart around jeuno doing stupid ****. It was the LS I originally joined. It had been there all along but I and many others were too ****** to notice. I still dont go to sky farming, and you know what? it dosent matter! I'm close to rank 30 (10 in all nations) and the end of the ZMs. I'm having fun like I have had only a few times before. Gods? SURE lets go **** em up! AF1? SURE I'll own that for you. Some dumb *** quest? why not! An NM you have no idea how strong it is or what it drops? Let's go get killed ^^. Is this the kind of LS you wanna be in? Do you want friends and family that you can laugh live and die with? I sure do. And though I never left DVS3, I want to reapply myself to DVS3 refocused. You can call that BS, you can throw a fit about whatever crap you wanna. DVS owns my soul. I pour it into our site and out shell and our members, my DVS family. Sound like we're for you? If so, go to our site, fill out an app, and I'll see you on the battlefield!
PS: Just don't expect to hold a candle to me... I AM THE UBER LEET ROXORS MNK FROM YO MAMMA'S HOUSE! hahah j/k :p
PPS: Thank you Meara and Lokki. I respect your guys' shells a lot. Proving to some that you can be endgame without being super hard core devoted to it. There ARE some ls that are all about gods and drops. there ARE people that don't have fun neorei, that just go and kill gods like it's a job, and mpk people that mess with thier gil flow. Not picking on your ls, I know some really cool ppls in it (wassup Augie ^^) but there are others that are just MEAN. F that guys, lets have fun^^ I agree with the endgame ls title. I for one never go to sky. Nor do some other long timers. How many HNM SKY ls let thier members get away with that? not a lot. Anyway, see you around everyone. I'll be the big Galka mnk proudly sporting the DVS3 pearlsack.

So yes, I did post on the applications board that I'm glad I got my Zenith Mitts when I did. That is the 1 item I wanted from what drops from the gods. The abjuration dropped on our second Genbu fight. I also happened to be the only blm in attendance for that fight. Thus I got by default.
If ye trying to show me for a hypocrite, ye failed.

Ah like helping others get the items they want. As 75 blm there is only 1 item from god drops that's of any use to me. Of all the HNMs out there, very few drop anything worthwhile for a blm. Ah actually have more fun dying in Dynamis than fighting gods.

HNM LS ? I think compared to what every 1 says a HNM LS is were pretty far from that.. I can say in the Last 2 months I have done more missions , AF Fights , WSNM , more than i did HNM's . Most of the time were just plain out haveing fun. That is one of the Big things i love about this LS , every night there is something new for me to do , hell a few days ago i did my fist ENM . It was hella fun theu whole trup up a mountian and the fight it self. lastnight i got to experince killing a little green guy in some place i never been before... hah i cant even rember what that place was calld but that was really intresting. Were not a LS that NEEDS you to come camp a NM for 2-3hrs because 4 other LS's are there , Yes some times some one gets a TOD and ask's if any wants to come kill it.. Yes we goto sky twice a week to farm.. NONe is required for any one. you all can pick this apart like every other thread you pickapart you can say "Iam Worng" pfft ya think it really matters what you say? This is a game.. I play to have fun.. The day this game is not fun is the day i quit... I been in a few differnt LS in mu lower lvls , a few of them had 40+ on at all times 2 of them are now in that list of HNMLS .. I left all of these LS for reason... they dident appeal to me .. i bounch of people that only helpd there self. you wont find that in DVS . There are people in this LS that do more for others than they do for theyre self... now you may ask your self why would some one do that.. its prolly fun for them to.. When i first joind DVS i had onyl 1 AF for WHM . I coudlent do the rest w/o help . like my second day in the LS i was talking to miriel and said i wish i could get some help with my AF. he said Oh NP 1 sec , the next thing i know he askd the LS "Who wants to help with WHM AF" the next thing i know i got a PT invite and more and more people got invited and the next thing i knew we had a full alliance.. from that day on i knew i was in a LS with good people.. people who dont put there self first , but put others before them. being with these guys taught me more about the game then i would ever imagin .
So If your looking for the same kind of LS that i found give us a /tell ingame , or check out the webpage. Ryul and Rouoni have done a GREAT job with the webpage! hah you can even google us not to many LS's that can be searchd on google ! haha

Well, the moral of the story is...
join a HNM(endgame)LS that appeals to you. Make sure you have a good, trustworthy leader that can lead you through hell and back and won't jump your bones because you got aggro once. Make sure you have a team that has a great supporting cast of ppl that you can depend on. People that will die for you...and not constantly remind you about that. Also, people that you can have a good time with.
Its kinda like going to work with the same people that you go clubbin' with; have fun.
I for one HATED HNMLSs. People gawked at me because I was a 75 RNG with no HNMLS. I got a few invites, but I didn't join because most HNMLSs have bad names...or seem to have. The first HNMLS that I joined was DVSIII. I really didn't know anyone there, but one of the main cats at that time; Kramer. I knew and trusted him from PTing with before. I was his "co-tank" hehehe, well this was pre-patch ^^. But it was that trust that made me come...and the same trust that made me leave to follow Kramer with Wasp.
But all in all, this is a game. You are not bound by a contract to no one. Have fun, make friends, hump a couch, live long and prosper. No one is any better than anyone else. No matter what how you name it, the LS can ONLY differentiate itself by it's ATTITUDE and PERSONALITY...which is perhaps the most important thing on this game. If the people you are with has bad attitudes and sucky personalities...then go to where you will enjoy yourself at. The matrix has you...
