Wasp is in search of another LS looking to do Dynamis. We are looking to keep it closed off to 2 LS's if that is possible. The leader of the other LS and some of his/her members will be given a pearlsack to Waspnest.

Dynamis Guidelines:

Both Wasp members and the Other LS will be allowed to sponosr the runs.

- Sponsor lots all money drops, and lets all other misc items fall to the rest of the players attending.

- A point system will be set up. Each player will receive 1 point for each dynamis they have attended. This will regulate who lots what AF2 after the first which will be open lot for the job you are using or for the one put in your search comment.

Example:

Player A has attended 5 Dynamis with Waspnest, so that player has 5 points.

Player B has attended 2 Dynamis with Waspnest, so that player has 2 points.

Player C has attended 5 Dynamis with Waspnest, so that player has 5 points.

Players A, B, and C all are lotting the same job. AF2 drops, Player A and C both are allowed to lot, Player B is not.

- Points will be deducted for each AF obtained making it fair to new players and ones who did not win the lot first time around. The amount of points to be deducted is still to be determined.

If we cannot find another LS that is interested in this we will make it open to a few select pre-approved players.

Dynamis SandOria will be next Friday, time TBD still. I am hoping to get something worked out before then. I will sponosr the first run for Waspnest.

You may think why does Wasp need others to do a Dynamis when they have so many members, well I will tell you. I am against forcing anyone in Wasp to attend anything so this way it will not be a mandatory event. Also we have players that are not on for a week or 2 sometimes and alot of players in different timezones.

At some point this may become a 2 times a week event, but for right now it will stay as a Friday night event. If you are another LS leader or just a player interested in joining us for dynamis, please send me a PM, post in this thread, or send me a tell ingame.

You can also contact Kalten about this as well. He is the offical leader of our Dynamis.

Kramer I have a proposition for you, following the same lines as the message that I sent before you created Wasp. If you don't mind (no offense to Kalten), I'd like to talk to you personally about it. If you could, give me a /tell in-game.

You could always send me a PM about it. Smiley: grin

You do not want to force anyone to go but yet by making Dynamis a point system doesn't it in fact make it a mandatory event? Your rewarding those that can make it against those who cannot.

Not that doesnt seems fare.

So how does making a point system force anyone to attend?. I just do not want to see things like I did in the last Dynamis LS I was in. We would have 12+ Paladins show up to Dynamis SandOria and then 3 Paladins show up to Dynamis Jeuno since it did not drop Paladin AF.

Sorry but you need to recheck your definition of fair I think. Does fair mean to you having people come to every Dynamis and die alot until we get really good, only to have someone who never has done Dynamis before come 1 time and outlot those who have worked very hard and been to each one?.

Some people really seem to have a skewered view of the word fair.

if you are worried about people only showing up when it benefits them, instead of going to every event to help others... maybe you need to look a little closer at your members

I disagree......insinuating that perhaps the 'group as a whole' is the problem, I don't believe is true. More often than not I think more people than you might think, would only attend or do things that benefit them! In business it's called "what's in it for me'.

Imo it has nothing to do with group setup or dynamics as much as 'incentive'. It's not much different than rl and the business world. There are many who are competitive and driven by 'rewards' and 'awards'. Just my two cents!

if people display that attitude in our LS, they generally get kicked mighty fast... we belive in helping each other and benefitting the LS as a whole, and have no need for greedy players who only look to benefit themselves

not sure what LS you're in fem, but I do know the majority of LS's feel this way

0.o! Wow! Are you insinuating that I am greedy?? I am probably one of the most giving people around and if you asked anyone who knows me they would probably tell you the same thing.

I hear what you're saying in 'theory' Zaltec and agree. However, what I'm simply saying is what is wrong with 'incentives', which is what Kramer referred to?

I work in a sales environment with a group of people who work side by side with each other sometimes seven days a week and would drop anything at any time to help anyone in or out of our office; yet we all 'compete' and receive incentives and awards for performance. What is wrong with having that ingame?

In a perfect world we would have all 'givers' and 'doers'. I find it hard to believe that there would be one group of people who hands down dropped whatever they were doing to do every event that came down the pike, at any given moment.

Funny, your ls sounds very much like our ls! People helping for the good of the whole also! Congratulations! That's one of the reasons I decided to join Wasp!

I never said that you were like that fem, but you said many people are... all I said is that most LS's severely frown on that outlook

there is nothing wrong with a 'reward' program, thats why most LS's use a point bank for some events... however, those are usually used to establish a lotting order, not generally to 'persuade' members to come in the first place

but, points or not, if people only go to events where they directly benefit (ie, you could attend 10 Byakko kills, but if you stop attending after you receive your Haidate, or if you are a mage who only attends Aspi camps and never KB, etc), you're still going to get a swift kick in the ***...
