I'm highly considering buying a DS...for one, its cheaper than a PSP, and I have noticed more games I enjoy are on the DS (And Nintendogs! woo! lol)...Also it seems as if games on the DS are cheaper than psp?

Any thoughts? Should I go and buy a DS? Anyone know of faults in the DS?

Honestly I can't wait for the revolution, I think I will buy that before any other consoles. Just thinking of sitting and playing all my childhood games in front of my tv again makes me drool :D. I think Nintendo did something right this time, I can't wait to see how they incorporate d/ling these games onto the revolution. Wheather it will be a pay system or they will be a certain amount free per month.

/end off topic nintendo talk :)

I think they are both fun systems, just go for what games you like.

I think the DS is a lot of fun, but that touch pad isn't that strong. Luckily, you can close it to protect it.

As for the PSP, I agreed with you on the price part...until I actually played one. It is BEAUTIFUL. I'm serious, I'd buy one now if I had the money. I too was sceptical until I put my hands on it to play. The games look almost just like the PS2. The way the system is built...a sight to behold. But the PSP ain't for kids. It's shiny surface will pick up fingerprints and dirty hands easily.

I say, whichever system has the games you wanna play, get it. I think PSP games are about $39, I think. But you can also browse the internet with the PSP, watch UMD movies (if you got any), and a lot more stuff is coming. In Japan, you can download TV shows for free. They have a PSP TV station with anime and shows to download. But you will need a good memory card.

All in all, like I said before, games first. Both has good games, but I see more of a future with the PSP. Nintendo will more than likely come out with another handheld like always, soon. Since that is their claim to fame. PSP is gonna be around for a bit, since you can use it with PS3 and stuff. It's your buck^^.

one of the big plusses i guess, to me buying a DS, is the ability to play GBA games. My parents are buying a GBA for themselves d(o.O)b so i can grab and use w/e game theyre not using *cough* FF Tactics & the FF 1&2 set *cough*

Yeah, I loved Tactics. SE needs to make more games for the PSP. When you see that screen, you'll wet yourself like I did. It had me at {Hello!}. Size does matter...

I got the DS when it first came out, and to be honest, there were *no* games for it... now, however, there are some fun ones... Kirby is great, the Mario64 remake is pretty good, and I can't *wait* for AdvanceWars...

however, I do use it a lot to play GBA games (still love my FFTA, FF 1&2, and AdvanceWars), and the battery life on the thing just can't be beat (I get 12-20 hours out of the thing).. only problem is, it can go 2 months without a recharge, and then I have to figure out where I left the bloody power adapter >.>

i bought my DS when it came out in America ( im in england and would have had to wait, i think 2months)

i have enjoyed it very much and having the gba games on the same console is great (yay for dawn of souls and ffta)
bing abe to close it helps too,im sure many PSP will end up with scratched screens as a lt of our gba's did,(even when keeping it in a case when not playin)
my rating
two thumbs up :D

NOOO! Nintendo=t3h devil! PSP is no better. What you need is some good old fashioned Game Gears, from Sega. Remember those? Thing was bulky as hell, took 4 AA's, and sucked the juice outta those so fast I just know Energizer and Duracel was in cohoots, just to boost battery sales. The original back lit, color screen.

Sega 4 life yo

4 AA's?

I know the original GB took 4, I think GG took either 6 or 8 though, it was a MONSTER of a energy drainer... like 4~6 hours on them. I had the battery pak for it, you literally charged it with a Genesis power adapter...

Mayhaps you're right Zal, I can't be sure how many batteries I lost to it. I got it for Christmas a long long time ago, I thought 4, but it could be more than that too. It's packed away somewhere in one of my boxes, I could dig around and find it, but I'm lazy. Of course everybody knows the best Game Gear game was Coolspot, that 7Up game. Damn soda company and their marketing ploys.

(Note: Some of the ratings was from your Xbox 360 thread).

Somebody does not like you Doomy, so I'm just gonna reverse-camp you and rate you up again. Amazing how their all 2.59, and a simple rateup by me brings it back to your default posting karma.
