With everyone constantly hearing stories of people getting screwed over, it's turning this game into a very mournful place. (For me, it's the never ending story of the Thief's Knife and how non-thieves always get it... A warrior in my linkshell is now the newest member of that group, he went 2/3 on kills. I'm still 0/14 and I know some thieves who are 0/80+ -_-. Also, what happened to Aida about the knife wasn't right either...)
So, for once, lets try to put a bit of happiness back in the game.
Tell a story where you got screwed over (like I just did), but tell a story where you triumphed (as I'm about to do.)
My little triumphant story is the first piece of AF2 I ever got. It was a pretty useful piece too (the +triple attack feet). We were in Dynamis - Jeuno and a pair of feet had just dropped. I was still a Dynamis newb so I couldn't lot on them. I felt very depressed as I didn't think I'd ever see them again. Then bam, another pair dropped out of the blue. With no other thieves to lot, I casted lots, and rolled fairly low (like a 3 or something). A black mage in our LS had a level 65 thief and casted lots on them, beating me to the feet. However, he passed the boots to me (with a little persuasion from a certain 75 thief in my ls). I got my boots and was the happiest I'd ever been in a long time. I went on to get my Vest a few runs later, and I had an oppurtunity to get the hat (I finally rolled over 600 and beat out all the other thieves), but I remembered how the level 75 thief had helped me get my first pair of boots. So, I passed the hat to him and repayed my little debt. I've never felt better in my time on this game than those two nights.
Whole reason why I'm doing this post is I want to see the good side of this game for once, and nobody ever posts whenever something good happens.
