I've been a THF75/NIN37 for my entire gaming career, leveling no other job. I was bored to death of the game and almost quit because things are just impossible to accomplish end game because they're so hard.

Then I goofed around and leveled white mage. I actually had fun again. Running from Orcish Grapplers and almost dying from forest hares really made my day. It took the stresses of end game off of me and I found it much more probable that I could complete those extremely hard tasks.

So, if you're frustrated with the game and you want to quit, go newb it with a level 1 job. It'll make it all better heh.

By the way, 0/14 On Sozu now and I couldn't be happier ^^.

Nice! I'm not really anywhere near end game at lvl55 but I'm already finding levelling bst is a great way to recover from levelling and crafting grinds.

Leveling low level jobs is definitely the way to go if you're getting sick of end game. When my old HNMLS left the server I leveled up my lvl 10 RDM with my BF's lvl 10 MNK and we had so much fun - it was definitely a good time to step away from the Sky/HNM scene :x Of course now we're level 73 RDM + MNK so we're back to end game again lol..

oh yeah, new jobs is always fun, even if its not the job for you, a change of pace is always refreshing. since weekdays i can only get on at around 3am its all jp so invited for NA drks are not that great so i picked up nin and am at 23 now. its different, fun, and something that can make my drk more versitile.

I leveled monk to 75, and got bored with it. Merits don't mean alot to me, and the whole "endgame" scene doesn't appeal to me. Right now monk is only there for helping my linkshell, coffer hunts, some NM or another. I really want to finish Zilart, I'm on Ark Angels, at least start CoP, not necesarily with monk, and get Rank 10 windy.

But aside from that, I'm leveling bard and I love it. Just over 3 weeks and I'm 500 xp to level 36. Never leveled a job that fast before. Not my monk, not my whm, war or thf (all these are jobs over 36 of mine). And aside from monk, never had as much fun doing it. I agree, leveling other jobs is a refreshing break from the monotony of it all. Whatever "all" consists of. I have mostly melee jobs, so leveling a "mage" type job is alot different, learning new things and fun. White mage wasn't fun for me, no action, just a curebot. Bard is very active, sure it's always the same songs, but at least I'm doing something at every second. Backup healing, buffing the party, some debuffs on the enemy. Truth be told it's kinda fun sleeping links, that's why I bought my Mary's Horn. Danger, excitement, bard.

Oh my, This is what I'm going through too. I'm sick of lv.75 Tarutaru RDM, it hit me while doing dynamis. I was bored to tears, at refreshing and sleeping mobs.

At first I wanted to be a Tarutaru BLM for the shear power they get, but I ended up being a RDM couse invites were fast. Refresh is just a bad spell I mean 150mp per-cast WTF, it's so out of date.

Know that I know about endgame I want to be BRD, RNG, SAM or a Galka DRK and I really want to use GOD gear from sky like Kirins osode.

I just sold all my gear and iteams, and I have a large chunk of cash to spend. I'm trying to decide on what I should do. It's taken me 11 months to get to 75 but it wasn't all that hard couse I'v been playing for like 3 years, I tried all the races and got them each to lv.30-40 then quit till CoP came out and started PALTEK up again.

I'm thinking of starting a new job, quiting the game or starting a new character.

end game does get boring very quickly. but i knew about leveling your whimpy jobs a long time ago! lol it is a blast. after i had my drk to 75, i rele got bored, i mean, jeez i was lucky to get it that far, lol, but i started to level thf just for the heck of it, and people said it was boring, but god, it is really alot of fun. and after i got my thf to end game status, i decided to go for pld, you know, for the whole, PLd and DRK look, i would be sexy in black and white, lol.after only a month and a half, my pld is 52, and i never really appreciated those pld's till i became one, you really learn alot about people after you start to think like them. im learning something new every day^^

The topic of this thread is one of the secrets to my surviving almost 2 years in this game.

I took WHM (72) and BRD (75) up almost side by side over the past year. Concentrating on healing/support jobs fit my personality and I still enjoy playing both. However, about a month ago I felt like a change.

I decided to start leveling WAR. I now have it up to 41 from 19 in that time along with leveling NIN from 19 to 25 and going. THF is at 32 so I will need to drop a few levels on it sooner or later, but I am having a blast with it.

However, all my jobs have some minor leveling on them. Everything is 10 or over and a few are 15-20 and a few higher than that.

I enjoy leveling, believe it or not. End-game is OK, but farming endlessly in Sky got old quickly. Leveling different jobs is a blast.

I'm sick of sky, I have wanted Genbu shield forever and I I'll never get it. CoP seems pretty cool but I don't get any invites for it. Dynamis BCN and dynamis X and I'm done. Thank you SE, limbus sounds cool!

level other jobs... god damn..

75 blm, 69 pld, 61 whm, 52 war, 43 smn, 35 nin, rest 1-25.

i find end game to be boring as im a blm. most people dont know this but end game has very little to offer a blm. zenith mitts... um... maybe rostrum pumps.. blm af2 hat.. thats pretty much it. the rest is $$$$. (ppl want blms for almost everything but ppl dont really give blms the right kind of slice of the pie they want imo)

the most fun i have in this game isnt end game. or even gerenally leveling up... its staticing with my friends.

Sayray, Danielson, Theraven, Zhitobud, Zanna.

we help each other out a lot. i pretty much soloed zhitos assault jerkin. camped dans moldovite for hours. gonna help zanna with his remaining Zm14 (that magic pot in Quicksand caves. already did zm8 with him :P)

most fun is with my friends. more people should arrange statics. really enjoyable thing to do. i strongly urge everyone to get a static for at least one job.

we are all level 69-70 now and i cant wait to see what happens on the way there.

:)

If I want a change of pace, I level another job too. Recently started crafting more. Maybe someday I can make money from it besides my 'ole reliable mining/farming way of making money.

I recently got 51 war/nin. I have 41 rng 41 mnk 38 whm 37 nin 32 blm 20 pld 20 smn 17 bst

I play whatever job I feel like playing at the time. Sometimes I just level to farm. You can get alot of crafting supplies during certain levels.

I focus on having fun. If I'm not, I move on to something else. Missions, quests, etc.

I've done some CoP, more CoP this weekend. Divine Might with LS soon. Having a blast

Yes u tend to get bored after awhile with the same job. I lvled a few jobs and I always feel the need to go back to dunes and have some fun lol. I know some ppl thats been one type of job since i know em. But man going back to dunes, qufim, and the jungle is mad fun. i havent lvled my thf (74) in like 6-7 months and i really don't care. All i say is have fun while playing. thats y u play it, to escape the hardship and stressful life of reality. ^^

Took SAM to 65 before I realized I can't stand playing a DD job, I like to be busy and mash on alot of macros while I play this game. Quit for 3 months and realized no other MMORPG isn't as flashy as good ol' FFXI. Fell in love with tanking and lvl'd NIN to 75, PLD to 45. Also found my love for BLM and WHM as well. I've also been doing alot of CoP with my static and that is opening up the game even more for me. When I don't feel like leveling I also have fun helping friends with my NIN since I can solo alot of things, or tank at least. I do get bored in this game at times, but then I realize how much there is to do and to look forward to. Also my wife and my friends that I've made here are also what keep me playing. ^^;

does it count if i have done this without reaching end game? My highest job is only bst 65, but i tend to takes breaks from it to lvl other jobs because i really do enjoy playing every job the game has to offer. Unfortunately, I have hit a snag to this plan. What do you do when all these jobs hit 25 and you no longer have the quick exit from the daily bst grind.

My solution was to start on another hobby of sorts and now i am an addicted leathercrafter. Crafting can be another diversion however it can eat away a good protion of your gil at certain lvls. I dont know that i would advise leathercrafting to someone who wants the craft to make money but i am only at lvl 60.3 at the moment so maybe it jumps up soon. You can make decent gil selling the stacks of dhamel, ram and tiger leather to fund the lvls that doo hit the checkbook hard.

My only other option (which i did start to do) would be to start lvling my mules ^^

Hmmm.....so many things still to do I just can't buy into the term 'end game'.

End game because one job is almost 75? Not in my opinion. Actually I can't decide exactly what I want to do next! Every time I run through Castle Yagstroza and hear the bard yags it reminds me that I love my bard job! Everytime we try to make a party and can't find rdm it reminds me that I loved rdm too! When I get bored of the grind of party and leveling it makes me want to try to get my level 2 bst out of the mog house.

Leveling cooking to 16 now makes me get back out and farm crystals; shrooms or whatever else I could use such as silk threads for my clothcraft.

Sigh....I still have two promy's left to do (and I hate them).
I still have to finish rank 9 and do battle with some dumb gobbue in Boyhada tree. The list is endless instead of end game; at least to me!

What do I do when I don't feel like doing anything? Have fun! Smile! Cheer someone on! Sometimes when I feel stressed or burned out I take a little vacation all by myself in my own 'caribbean' of Van a Diel; take the Manaclipper to the island waters hehe dig for clams or whaterver. Help someone who needs a key; teleport crystal; raise; escort to the dunes...just goof off and have a good time.

So when will end game be for me? End game will be when I feel I've accomplished everything I set out to do; or am totally bored with the game and have no desire to log on to play.

At that point I buy a ticket on the Manaclipper; sail away in the waters of Bibiki Bay; arrive at the beach on Purogowhatever isle; lift my yagudo drink in salute to a great game and friends and log for one last time!

ENDGAME is pretty much everything you can't solo at 75. It's Dynamis(Getting your AF2). It's HNMs you need help with, from Onci Carcass(need almost 6 lv.75 players to win) to Jormungand(Need like 25 players to win). There are also sky gods for abjurations and iteams, sometimes some gil(Depending on HNMLS rules). CoP seems ENDGAME to me couse the ring you get for winning is invaluable.

Try beating all CoP, Zilart and nation story lines. Level up atleast two jobs to 75. Gain friends and meet your nemisis.

I'm trying to hold out till update and expansion, I hope things get beter.

Very good point...

Along the way I have done Bastok and San d'Oria to Rank 10, ZM's up to the AA with 2 down, and I am working on CoP which is up to 3-3 now.

The storylines in this game all tie together in different ways, even the minor quests. If you have not jumped into them you are missing the most fun in this game.
