i dont get itFollow

this post is completely unrelated to FF and does not really require any kind of reply. yesterday i got a message telling me that one of my good friends had died. ive been sitting and thinking about it a lot and think that because he was a great person and i would like him to be remembered by anyone who will listen, i would post something on here. his name was tim and he was 20 years old. he had the greatest sense of humor and i never once saw him angry about anything. he was the type of guy who would ride on the top of someones car just to scare the **** out of you and make you laugh. one time i stole handcuffs from my dad (hes a cop) and handcuffed tim to another friend and instead of complaining and making us take them off, he proceeded to go to every one of the other persons classes with a stupid grin on his face. its a shame that it always seems to be the great people who die young and ill never understand why it works that way. the world is now an ever so slightly worse place to be without tim around and i just dont get it......

PS. this is probably the one and only post you will see of mine that is completely serious. i dont require any smartass comments or any feedback of any kind actually. i just ask that you people read this and reflect on it a little. friends and a sense of humor are the 2 best things you can have in your life and it would suck if we forgot that.

Quoting from a movie:

"The candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long".

I'm sorry to hear about your friend dude, putting someone in writing is the best way to immortalize them though.

Someone rated you down for posting, so I rated you up. Whomever rates down on a post of this nature deserves to have their *** rocked by satan.

Unless their gay and like that kind of stuff...

Then they'd just go to hell.

I have been there a few times already and I know your pain. Just hang in there and remember all the good things and good times about him and from what you said that probly is alot.

Two of my friends both died in thier early twenties from motorcycle accidents, and another died in his late teens from a car accident.

i cant even imagine having to hear this kind of news more than one time.... whenever i heard anyone say that someone they knew had been killed i always just kind of shook my head and said "that sucks" without fully understanding. now i realize that even if the person wasnt family or maybe wasnt even your best friend, its still a terrible terrible feeling to know the world has lost a good person.... thanks for the rate up btw

My best friend in HS died of complications from leukemia, so this is an all too familiar experience. Though it's from a completely unrelated musical, there's a couple of lines that are kind of fitting:

Once I was told that good men get better with age
We're just gonna skip that stage.
There are no answers, but who would I be
if you had not been my friend?

The ones we love
they do not die,
they simply move to rest.
Though from the ground
into the sky,
please hold them in thine chest.
For when we lose
the ones we love
but keep them in our heart,
it matters not
with You above,
our spirits never part.

Wrote it, of course. At one time or another, everyone loses someone or something we love. The key is to never forget.
