It costs $3.33 per month to join Allakhazam and rid yoursrlf of banners, ads, and pop-ups forever. You also get better search functions.

P.S. I know this isn't a really fix to the pop-up problem but at least it is a kind of work around if you can afford it.

Adblock extension for Firefox. You have to install/load it, only issue I have with it right now is some troubles with some flash content, but I haven't updated Firefox in a while.

Safari is the native web browser for Mac OS X, based on KDE's Konquerer (or more appropriately, the KHTML renderer).

Concerning ads:

While it won't fix a pop-up problem, another good measure for beating online advertisements is by tricking your OS's network into thinking the advertisement server isn't there.

Please see Blocking Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts File for more information.

(edit: added info about hosts file)

There is a post over at the help forum

http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=3;mid=1134933037102092146;num=5;page=1

Where Kaolin has asked that you view source, and copy and paste the code into the discussion, so he can find and elimintae that problem. There has been 2 people who have posted what they think is the proper code for it, and so hopefully he will take care of it. You may want to copy and paste the entire code next time it pops on you (Click View at the top left section of your browser window, then source. Will be lots of HTML and other types of code, jst hit CTRL C and then go to the help forum, and click CTRL V).

Im premium, so I havent seen the ad, but I remeber one of those a long time ago that was similar, that was removed.
