From about 9 am Wednesday to the same time today: 31,000 gold gross profit off Inscription.
I stockpiled ink for a few weeks, paying about 40 silver per northrend herb on average, so about 2g/ink. (You can trade northrend ink for any other in Dalaran). I didn’t know that the ink cost of glyphs would triple with the patch, or I would have made stacks of glyphs and tripled my stock while cutting my overhead in half. Still, cost to make a glyph: 7g.
My price point was 57g, so about 700% markup. I tried to keep two of each glyph on the market, ignoring people undercutting me unless they were selling for less than my glyph cost, in which cast I bought them out and relisted.
Sales were a little spotty at first, until my competitors had sold out of glyphs and couldn’t get more herbs off the AH. Then the gold poured in.
I ran out of ink myself this morning. Sales had slowed down somewhat, but now my competitors are listing at 70 gold or more--those might be the people who make the real money. I suppose I might have made close to a hundred thousand if I had made glyphs in advance instead of after the patch. But I'm good, and I still have quite a few auctions pending.
