So far that I know to advance skills past 225 to cap it at 300 a quest needs to be done...

for the alliance the locations of the following...

firstaid - Ironforge first aid trainer (must be level 40)

cooking - Ironforge cooking trainer (must be level 40)

fishing - Ironforge fishing trainer (must be level 40)

tailoring - Teldrassil tailor trainer (must be level 40)

if you have any more to show please do.

actually....

fishing

I belive that is quest only. and to get the expert you must go to booty bay to buy a book that is 1 gold.

The fishing quest does start in IF thou....

unless it was changed today.....

I learned artisan tailoring in Theramore without doing a quest, in my 30's.

There's also an artisan blacksmith tailor in Booty Bay, but to specialize in armour or weaponsmithing starts in Ironforge I believe.

Alliance leatherworking can be done in Darnassus in elf town. There is an Artisan leatherworker there. My question is where in Ironforge can I skill cooking past 150?

I tried to get the artisan fishing quest last night, I'm level 44 and at skill level 200 fishing, but I couldn't get it.
Is it given by the guy in "The Travelling Fisherman" in the The Forlorn Cavern, or was I trying to talk to the wrong guy?
Or do I have to be over 200 skill to actually get it?

To get the quest for the secondary professions (cooking, first aid, fishing) you have to have 225 skill in that profession. At that point, a quest will become available to you.

For cooking, you need to talk to the Goblin Butcher in Gadgetzan, Tanaris.

Thanks, I noticed...got to skill level 225 and got the quest. I could've sworn I read you can get it at skill level 200+ somewhere, but I might be wrong.

artisan guys are the ones who get to skill 225
masters are the ones who get you to 300... remember that
also you should tell where you can get those on the horde side...

The master tailor can be found in Theramore as well on the second floor of the only real house on the isle. The master enchanter is found in Uldaman. Once you kill the 40 or so nonelite scorpions of a small room with a tent in it the enchanter will walk out from behind a wall.

The Artisan Alchemist who advances you up to 300 is in Feathermoon, a town on an island off the west coast of Kalimdor. It's not too far of a run from Nijel's in Desolace.

What northern Kalimdor Griffon links to Nejils?

The Master Leatherworker for the alliance can be found in Hinterlands. He's the only one who can allow you to raise your skill to 300. After that, you can also go see the Dragonscale, Elemental, or Tribal Master Leatherworkers to choose 1 of the 3 paths. The Dragonscale one is in Azshara, and I believe the Elemental is in Searing Gorge, I don't recall where the Tribal one is.

The Artisan Alchemy trainer for Horde is located in Stonard in the Swamp of Sorrows. I found it the other day while traveling there to do quest. Now I can take my Alchemy up to 300. woot!

I'm currently stuck at engineering 225. I have a gnomish membership valid for another 12 days, and have been attempting to push it over the mark with orange items (deadly scopes) as well as some yellows and greens to no avail. Am I supposed to do another quest or is there yet another artisan trainer?

For Cooking past 150, you need to buy a book. This can be found in Ashenvale in a village south east of Astraanar (sp?).

Wrong, BB has Expert Tailor Trainer, not Artisan. And he is bugged, I'm Artisan with 279/300 tailoring skill, and he wont train me, not like I need him to, since im artisan!
