Hello all I've added a few changes to my excel spread sheet. Here are the changes and brief explanations.

How I set prices
I find a crafted item that has the best drop to cost ratio for a certain magical component. I then figure out the total cost to craft that item using AH prices for each ingridient. I then devide the total cost by the chance a component drops ( percentages are from thott).
Example: Crafted item costs 1.45g to make and has a 236% chance to drop a dream dust. So I devide 1.45g by 2.36 to get cost per dust.

New Price Colums
VBP- Vendor Base price- Is the cost per component if the crafted item it was disenchanted from were to be sold to the vendor.

AHP- Auction House Price- Same as above but with this calulaction the prices of components are based on the average AH buyout price.

MUP-Marked Up Price- What you add on top of the cost of components for your services.

GDP-Guild Discount Price- What you charge your guild members after discount.

New Worksheets

Formulas
This is the worksheet that has all 150 or so enchanting formulas. If you high light the area and apply a filter you can sort through all the formulas by item slot, stat bonus, or anything else you like (skill, price, etc..)

This was made with the intention to be used by enchanters to quickly sort through their formulas and a get a price, but it can also be used by potential customers who want to know what is available to them. The prices used are from the Laughing Skull Horde Server, so they shouldn’t be strictly applied to another server’s unique economy.

Component Prices
This section is where you can change each components price and percentages to what fits your server and your playing style, the prices will be reflected in all the formulas. Just change the AHP value since the VDP is the same across all servers and the MUP and GDP are percentages of the AHP.

By most components there is also an item that has either the best cost to drop ratio or has a 100% drop ratio. Not all components have an item by them, so if you have an item that DE's into a component that I haven't listed yet, let me know.

AH Values
This worksheet is just a running tally of what the average cost of crafting ingredients on the auction house are. Again this is only accurate on the Laughing Skull Horde Server.

Customer Credit
This is a new thing I’m trying out. Anyone who brings me items to disenchant will get the dropped component’s value subtracted from their next purchase. If they bring me more items then they can use at once I’ll save their credit on their next visit.

Disenchanting
Just data I gather about what drops from my own disenchants, will probably add %’s and costs later on.

If you have any questions or find some errors in the spread sheet post them here and I’ll try to answer.

Looks like a good pricing sheet, but I saw one thing so far,
If you look at the Enchant Bracer minor Strength, it uses only 2 soul dust and is priced at 0.07 (AHP)
but if you look at Enchant Bracer stamina, it uses 6 soul dust and is priced at 1.21
Not familiar with where all the cells in formula are located, but the 2 soul dust to 6 soul dust is not showing the correct pricing. Just want to let you know.
oh and just saw lesser stam on bracer priced at 0.40, which sounds more correct, looks like its just a prob with the lesser str one.

Ok fixed that problem. There were two or three formulas that were pointing to the wrong component, either strange dust or soul dust but in the wrong order. Thx for that heads up, the updated file is online now.

Yes on the forumlas and component prices worksheets all prices are in gold with four decimal places representing silver an copper. So if you see something that says 1.4532 it means 1 gold 45 silver 32 copper. Only the AH Values worksheet uses silver as the price so 320.32 is 3 gold 20 silver 32 copper.

I've been sending my customers to get this spread sheet and those that can get it like it. The rest don't have excel to open it with. Here is an open source project that has the same functionality as Microsoft office, but is free to use. It's called open office and you can get it here:

http://www.openoffice.org

wowprofessions.net was down for the past two days so I didn't link my download there, from now on though I'll post all updated versions of the spreadsheet there since I can edit the posts. version 2.1 is there right now.

http://www.wowprofessions.net/PostNuke/html/index.php

Sides that anyone have any suggestions, errors, feedback in relation to the spreadsheet? Anything you'd like to see implemented? Post them here and I'll see what I can do.

Added v2.4.1

Changes include:
Updated AH prices
Added Pearls and Gems to AH Values worksheet
Added colum to components priceing sheet that shows values of magical components from the AH Values worksheet.
Various error Fixes

Added the AH values colum to see what the diffrence is between the cost to make a component and what the component is selling for on the AH. I will use the higher of the two prices unless there is some abnormality.

Shouldn't it charge a premium for anything that puts a glow on a weapon?

Shriek

Was there ever a follow up link for the latest revisions?

This could be a great resource. :-(

alright so I have this version of it. But I have one question: Which Formulas/Enchantments do I get to make the Glow effect? Dumb question I know
#15 Mar 31 2005 at 12:56 PM Rating: Decent
I would recommend using Gloves of Meditation in place of Azure Silk Gloves - according to Thottbot the drop rates are a teensy bit worse for the GoMs but they are much cheaper to make since they use Wool instead of Silk.

Just a thought.
