First Aid and ChannelingFollow

I recently heard that applying bandages is a like a channeling spell, it only works while you are channeling and stops if you get interrupted. So this means that if I'm solo'n and apply the bandage to myself (800 health over 8 seconds), if I get hit within that 8 seconds, I won't get the full effect of the bandage (so maybe 100-200 health instead of 800) and won't be able to apply another for a while!

If this is true then that totally changes how I need to use first aid... I'd have to run away or make sure I'm not taking dmg before I apply my bandage.

Can anyone confirm this?

No, there is no interruption for bandages... When you apply it, it stays on till it wears off.

Yes, first aid is a channelign ability. You must stay motionless and not get hit for 8 seconds for full effect. If you get hit or move, you only get the healing for the first part of the bandage.

You do indeed have to run away =)

Yes, you absolutely stop channeling if you get interrupted (hit, in other words). Not only that, but you won't be able to re-apply another bandage for 60 seconds. That's why alchemists are my best friends, for their healing potions. Welcome to the Way of the Warrior... :-)

I find bandage good only as a backup after I chug-a-lug a bottled heal and still have another hit or two to kill the mob.

Oh and not to forget, First aid is great when it comes to cure poison. :)
