Hey, I just stared Herbalism. Im in the barrens right now and im having trouble finding enough of the herbs i need (ie the ones i can collect). Can anyone give good areas, easily acessable from there, that provide lots of low level herbs without too much walking. a route perhaps? thanks

As far as I konw, there's not a 'good' place to do it. I just get it whenever I see it, even if that means taking an extra 10-15 minutes for traveling. I'm level 16 and have about 110 skill right now, and I started when I was about level 5 or 7. (I don't really remember)
Not sure if its like this in the hordes side, but in the alliance, the are more herbs from beggining area. More herbs around higher leveler area you go through...

I'm working on herbalism as well and in my short experience there is a pretty familiar pattern. Noobie areas give you noobie herbs. As your skills advance so does the aggro in the areas you need to get herbs from. I think this goes with all the professions though.
So, If you are a low level character trying to gather herbs, leather, blah, blah, blah.... that are advanced then you will need to group with higher level folks to keep the agro off of you while you gather or you will need to duck and dodge as much as possible.
If you are an upper echelon player with high combat skills working on a new gathering profession, you will have to revisit some of those old noob areas and have a pitiful laugh at the folks that are still trying to level up a bit. :)

for horde, head over to the eastern continent to start. it is hard to build up skill in the barrens, as there are not as many herbs. i went over to silverpine and found tons of starting herbs.
from there, just make sure your "find herbs" is checked and find them while working on quests. once you are in an area for awhile, you remember where the herbs are, especially as you head out of cities and you can pick those everytime you head out. good luck.
