pick up sinning and mining till your like lvl 36+ then get what ya want.. me i picked tailoring and enchanting.. looking on the lists to see what disenchants.. 80% of the time you get some form of dust depending on the item quality. the other 20% is the rest ofthe regents.. i.e. small shards and essences and the like..

humanoids drop cloth at different lvls .. tailoring and enchanting needs no other prof with them.

only green and blue items you can nuke .. i havent gottn my hands on a purple to test this yet but im sure.

ive gotten enchanting up to +250 now just from tailoring along and my caps were from my class levels only..

with one exception which had i known i would have never taken enchanting

at +225 well for alliance horde ihave no clue..

your capped.. your screwed until.. you go into the badlands to the uldaman instance and get the master enchanter there.. 5g after that each time you get up high enough to train guess what.. yep back to the instance.. when you get that list up write or find a website that shows what lvls the enchants are so you dont go there for nothing.

Thanks for all your great reply's!

I've decited that I am going to do "Enchanting", because I've got a big guild who will help me when the game gets released here.

As my second prof. I would like to go for Mining or Skinning, which one would you suggest, and why?

The only thing I want to reach with Mining or Skinning is getting loads of money that I can put into "Enchanting" and such.

Thanks again,

Mining if you plan to level fast (and by 'fast', I mean be among the first 20 or so people to 60 on your server). Otherwise, skinning would be best IMO. I'll explain that before someone jumps on me. :P

From what I've seen, the BIG money in mining only comes in once you get to mithril or above (175+ skill). Maybe even iron (125 skill). To compound things, your goods are only useful to 2 professions (engineering and blacksmithing) with a third (enchanting) RARELY needing your goods. Compare that to skinning which isn't level dependent, has FAR more available resource nodes, and opens your market to far more professions. More professions = more possible buyers. Also, you'll find that many of the higher end ore nodes are fairly rare and/or contested and are generally only found in "level appropriate" zones (like, you're not gonna find Mithril in Loch Modan or Westfall).

So if you're planning to push hard for levels and you're the patient type, mining might be more your thing. But looking at it from a purely capitalistic point of view, skinning cannot be beat with its larger market, far more available harvesting opportunities, and nearly limitless demand. Someone earlier in the thread recommended tailoring for bags. Well, there won't be any silk or better bags being made without a skinner's product being used (with the exception being the Mooncloth bag).
