Often?Follow

Im trying to determine which enchantment i wish to purchase for my weapon. As cool as elemental enchantments are ive had a few superior weapons that come standard with the occasional fire burst or dark bolt proc. The problem is rarely does my weapon ever kick out a fireball. This has lead me to believe that a simple Damage boosting enchantment is best. What caught my eye is in the description of life stealing and elemental enchantments is the word often. So what im wondering is how often is often? Can i expect it to occur one every other battle or so or is it like my past weapons that came standard with such abilities in which case ill rarely be blessed with the opportunity to steal my opponents life?

Procs tend to go off 5% of the time is the number I hear. It makes some sense, as 5% is the base rate for block, dodge, and parry. If 5% is right, then divide the proc damage by 20 and treat that as the average damage for the proc and add it to the dps. Then compare with the addition for the damage enchant dps boost. If you PvP, remember that the ability to get a high damage burst can be better than a slight increase in average damage- it scares people and makes them heal earlier.
