engineering a a gnomeFollow

ok about the pets you can make as an engineer what exactly do they do??? ar they just things that follow you around or do they actually buff/attack/do anything?? i am plnning on being an engineer and just want to know if these pets do anything...another question.....do the bombs/dynamite sell fo good money or even sell at all?? are they very usefullin battle? an when you use them what do they exactly do?? can you throw bombs and lay dynamite?? and is there a type of bomb you can set and detonate on your own?? these are just some questions and whoever comes to this thread you can answer if your bored or if your not busy or whatever thanks o yea one more thing where are some good places to mine for alliance for some good supplies?
