so has anyone done this combination??(Mining, engineering) i was just wandering because im leaning towards that and alchemy, herbalism and i dont know which to do. i want to know if the bombs are realy good or if thats a ovestatement..do the bombs have a casting time or are they press the button and they throw?? and one more is the armor you can make (i.e. flying boots, googles, etc.)better than regular armor or if i went engineering would my best bet be to go goblin when i got high enough?? anyone who can reply to this i would greatly appreciate it thanks.

P.S. im a 7 dwarf paladin and i wanna get an early start on whatever tradeskill i am going to do.

I'm doing mining engineering on my rogue..

and well the goggles are cool.. and considering I'm only 13.. and have a head peace.. I think that is rare.. but only engineering 100 can wear those..

mining... is a task.. to say the lease.. .on proudmoore.. it seem that I find myself .. at least in loch modan at present. in competition for minerals to mine with guys 40+ on their horses... seems kind of weird to me.. but *shrug*.. I make do..

so at present. .my engineering skill is actually higher than my mining... but I've lucked out and gotten some good ore combo's...

and as a rogue.. those damn target dummy's rock.. given me a nice back to play with :)

oh.. and the other question. yes.. the bombs do have fuze times... so it's not a click and explode thing. .but it's short... right now the ones I make.. do a "little" noticable damage to the mobs.. but I always forget to use them lol..

hope the info helps..

As a 255 Miner 207 Engineer let me provide some more feedback on endgamish engineering.

Firstly, the bombs are not -that- great unless you spec goblin engineering later on. Then however, you get some really nice reloadable bomb trinkets that do a reasonably amount of damage. Casting time is there, but not too long. Generally they're good for adds or an opener. Engineering can also make some cool and useful headpieces and general devices that I enjoy making. I know some -really- good spots to make money mining, and level the skill fast, but they're all horde territory so they wouldn't help you much.

Basically, engineering is fun, not mind blowing, but fun. And mining if done right will really rake in the cash later on.
