Sellable Alchemy Items? (Long)Follow

#1 Mar 11 2005 at 11:38 PM Rating: Excellent
While I have not been practicing alchemy for very long, I have noticed that some items sell alot better than others. For example, my Swiftness Potions sell like they are going out of style, while other potions barely get a lukewarm response. With this in mind, I took it upon myself to do a little research into what quests and crafted items need potions that an alchemist can make. I am hoping that this list will keep me from wasting time on crafting potions that might not sell quite as well.
Though I am not sure if anyone else has made a list such as this, I thought maybe someone out there might also be interested. I have not actually tested this list yet, so I can't promise that your sales will actually increase.
The information was gathered from Allakhazam's database and then compared to Thottbot's database in hopes of weeding out any inaccuracies. The only discrepancy I found is with the Boots of Darkness listed under the Shadow Protection Potion. The Boots of Darkness was listed in the Allakhazam database while Thottbot made no mention of it. I am not sure which site is actually correct, so I listed them anyway just in case (smiles).
The list includes the names of the potions, what they are used for, how many are needed and whether that paticular potion is trained from an NPC or learned from a recipe.
If there are any mistakes or addition that anyone can think of, please feel free to post them.

Wow, thanks for the info! I'm about to be an artisan alchemist being level 39 and with alchemy maxed out at 225 for a few levels now. I noticed when I had spare potions from an adventure, i would throw them in AH and they would sell. Thanks for doing the studying on what some potions are used for as components. I also would like to add that a lot of survival potions sell well like invisibility potions etc. =) Thanks again.
