Where can I find a Skinning trainer? I want to start up in it and I'm part of the Alliance.

What race are you?
The one for Night elves is just down the road from Darnassus or in Darnassus itself up by the leather worker trainer.
Dorfs/gnomes on the North side of the Great Forge there is leather shop with a trainer downstairs.
Don't know about humans, best best for any of them, ask a guard in the respective towns and he will flag it on your mini map.

That's the easiest way, head to the first large town/city for your race and ask a guard where to find the trainer. They will tell you the closest city as well if you're not in it. Then start with beasts around level 5-10, I believe a beast over 10 might be too high to skin with just 1 point. So a level 60 who switches would have to go back to a low level area to start skinning.

There is both a Skinning Trainer and a Leatherworking Trainer in GoldShire. Both are in the same house, near Mirror Lake (just outside of Goldshire).
