If Divine Shield(or any other immunity spell) is used will the Gnomish Death Ray still cause harm to the user?

I have a mage and used my deathray with my manashield up, and the manashield absorbed the damage. So I would guess it would work the same for a pally. I wonder about PWS. The deatray rocks, I usually hit for 956 or so.

No, you can't use the death ray and use divine shield at the same time, I tried it last night...you can use shields that absorb damage (such as the harm prevention belt), but not ones that make you immune.
