Place to start fishing

Hi i'm Menhunter an lvl 34 Orc Hunter on Aggamagan

And i recently took up fishing, just for the fun.
But where do i start to skill up.
I tried the pool in Thunderbluf and Oggri,
but there i always get " Fish got away"
So these place are to high for me.

Where to start fish then?

go into a low level area, like near the towns south of both TB and Org.

As I was skilling up in fishing, in a zone where I'd get a lot of lost fish I'd slap on a nightcrawler or some other lure, and that would reduce the numbers of lost fish very significantly, also helping me skill-up faster in those areas. Undead mobs generally drop them fairly regularly (about 15% of the time, look up nightcrawler on this site to see which mobs specifically drop them and which would be best for you to hunt). In 4 or 5 levels I'd recommend the two ruins in Stranglethorn Vale. I got a good amount of them as I was finishing a couple of quests there.

You can also buy nightcrawlers and other lures from fishing vendors - start in pools in any of the newbie areas (there's one in the Valley of Honor in Org itself) and build your skill up. Move on to the higher level areas as it improves.

Very handy for a hunter if you have a pet that likes fish (bears and cats spring to mind), not sure how useful it is for other classes.
