Does anyone know where Goldenthorn is found on the Horde side? I never had a recipe that required it on the Alliance side (so I must have exceeded my former character's ability). Thanks in advance
Basically all of the mid-30s zones have a significant amount. Alterac Mountains have some if you go to the snowy area. Arathi has some if you look for the rocky places. Stranglethorn Vale has all the mid-level herbs you could ever handle. All of these are profitable but, on PvP servers, dangerous.
If you're looking for quieter spots, I'd recommend Badlands and Swamp of Sorrows. Badlands supplements the Goldthorn with Kingsblood and Firebloom and the occasional Khadgar's Whisker. Swamp of Sorrows has Goldthorn along the ridges and absolutely copious Blindweed, Liferoot and Kingsblood in the wetter parts.

chah is correct, by the 30s, you are not really in "horde" or "alliance" side anymore...you're in contested zones.
it sounds bad, even considering the pvp honor system, but i have to say you still can move around in these contested zones just fine. people have more incentives to kill you now on pvp servers but that ability was there before the honor system.
