I have the bug that does not allow me to fish with lure in non closed pools (sea, rivers).

Blizz sais they are working on it but would realy like to finish the Nat Pagle Angler Extreme quest before any time next sentury.

Catching all but one fish for the quest is easy without lure. Fishing in the Ferals for the Feralas Ahi is a diffrend matter.

Unbuffed is impossible at 225, Every fish gets away.
Buffed (20 from pole, 2 from gloves) it's just barable.
I have been fishing for 1 1/2 hour for the Ahi without luck.

I would like to be abolutely 100% sure I am in the right spot before I waste another 2 hours or so on the Ahi.
I fished for it next to the bridge of the river right next to the dock that ships to Fethermoon leave from.

Am I at the correct spot, and if so, is there someting else I could do better?

I am alliance, so I can not get the +25 pole.
I do not have cosmos, so coordinates are meaningless to me.

Thank you very much

Going from dusty old memories here so the names are probably not accurate, but I'll describe the location for you... Back when I did this quest several months ago, I searched thotbot and read up on locations for the quest (still a good plan). The place that I caught mine was on the Verdant river ... no mobs to bother me and I caught it in about 10 minutes (your mileage may vary). The spot is located along the road going East toward Camp Mojache from the boat landing that you mentioned.

Big Iron Fishing Pole

http://thottbot.com/?i=2950

As you can read on this link, what you are doing is opening up shellfish traps underwater. Each time you open a trap you get something. Sometimes its shellfish. These are for a hoard quest and you can’t sell them. So delete them when they start taking up too much room. You could have a lobster creature attack you. These guys are in their low to mid 30s. You’ll also end up fighting other lobster creatures that swim in this area. If you don’t get shellfish and you don’t get attacked then you’ll get a random drop. One item on the drop list is the Big Iron Fishing Pole.

As you can imagine, the drop rate is random. You may get one on your first trap or you may not get one after two hours. I’ve looted nine so far, for friends and my alts. Sometimes, like this morning, I’ll get two poles during an hour or two session. Sometimes I won’t get any. So don’t get discouraged, you’ll eventually get one.

As these traps are under water I HIGHLY recommend some form of underwater breathing. My paladin has engineering and he uses a deepdive helmet. You can also use potions. If you can use a staff one drops in Gnomeregan that allows the wielder to breathe underwater (http://thottbot.com/?i=6346).

Or you could just be a druid and use waterform. ;)

If you are not a druid or warlock, you may want to get this
http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=9452
It's a staff that grants you wantherbreating and is easy to get when you are over 40.

Or you can just use the air bubbles that are spread across the sea floor.
