In the item lookup section for the silver rod component of the runed silver rod it says there is a merchant sell price...I've never seen a merchant who has had this and the prices are so high on the AH to buy this...does anybody know where the merchant is that sells this item?

I don't think there is a vendor that sells it.

I'm surprised the prices are high, usually there's a glut on these. You might want to ask in trade chat -- silver is easy and a smith would probably be willing to make you one for materials cost.
