i can answer the usable part, honestly it's a combination of Tribal and Elementa specialization. they both have stuff that will really help you. Most of people will tell you Tribal thou.

As for money? you can sell leather (heavy or better sell fairly well) or make blue items (toughened leather gloves for example) and sell them.

If you decide to sell blue's, don't be stupid, try to control the market. i can sell Toughened leather gloves for easy 6g each, and find out that some moron put 5 of them in there for less than 3g each. that's just stupid, take your time. sell one at a time for around 6g (people tend not to pay much more than that) and you will make some cash. if someone does scew up the market, just wait few day and do it again.
