When Can you Mine Rich Thorium?

(I looked through last 8 pages of the forum and couldn't find the anwser to this, so sorry for the silly question)

Currently my mining skill is at 274 and I was just wondering why when I encounter a Rich Thorium Vein it still says "Requires Mining". Do I need to go somewhere to train for Rich Thorium? I can mine Thorium veins just fine.

I believe it is 275 for rich thorium and 265 for regular thorium(?). Both will give you thorium but usually a few more swings on the rich vein and a higher percentage to drop gems. You do not need to learn how to mine rich thorium just make sure you have your mining pick with you. It should say the level required to mine the vein. If you didn't learn how to smelt thorium then you will need to do that.

Good luck getting any of the Rich Thorium Mines. They are Camped Camped and Camped. All for the little Gem it can give up (but very very damn rarely)

I have found that early in the morning 5am - 10am EST are good times for me to mine these.

cool ive still low in mining ( like 150 ish finally) it took for ever cause of the silver thing and i cant wait to get to mine thorium cause im an engineer wouldn't ind sum thorium grenades...
