unlearn still known?Follow

If I unlearn a skill so I can tkae another, then decided I wanted the other skill instead, if I relearn it is it still at the same lvl?

Example: leathercrafting=105 Skinning=150

replace leather with herbalism, decide I want leather instead,

leather=???

Does it reset itself back to 1?

No, once you unlearn a profession you toss everything away, including all the formulas you learned. So if you had smithing at 221, dropped it and then took it back up again you’d have a skill of 1 and the only formulas you’d know would be the starting ones your trainer teaches you. So be sure you really want to drop a profession before you drop it.

EDIT:

I should add that this does not clear any of the advanced profession choices you make. For example, once you gain enough skill in engineering you can choose to specialize in goblin engineering or gnomish engineering. You are warned multiple times that this is a permanent choice. So lets say you chose to take goblin engineering. Later you decide you would rather have gnomish engineering. There’s no way to change it. If you drop engineering you would indeed be back to a skill of 1 and have only the starting formulas. But once you reached the point of making the choice of goblin or gnomish engineering you’ll still be stuck with goblin engineering. The game won’t allow you to change your mind once you make that choice. This also holds true for other professions that have advanced schemes.
