I would like to know if it is possible(and no, with possible i don't mean running around with my lvl41 troll warrior in Ironforge) for a Horde character to learn gnome engineering because it just seems loads cooler, with the death ray; the boots that don't explode etc.
Pls let me know IF it is possible and if so, how to do it.
Don't flame me if there is already a thread that talks about this because i checked 200 trade skills threads for this problem and didn't find one.

Sure it is possible. I do not know where to go, as I am only at 169 engineering. I think that the trainers are in Gadgetzan and Booty Bay. It doesn't make since to specialize engineering if only the Alliance can specialize. Of course, if a am wrong, someone please correct me.

the goblin trainer is in ratchet. no clue where the gnome trainer is. never looked.
and as long as you're an engineer, you get to choose goblin/gnome. it's up to you.

Ok thx guys, i tought i saw once that there only was a gnome engineering trainer in IF.

k im a gnome engineer who is also an engineer all know is that u can become a gnomish engineer as a troll but im not sure where u might be able to do it in Srangle thorn in booty bay but im not sure

“The quest starts in one of three places: Ironforge, Undercity, and also in Ratchet.
You will receive a book to read about the differences between the disciplines. After you've made your choice, you must visit the master for that path.
The Master Gnome engineer is in Booty Bay.
The Master Goblin engineer is in Gadgetzan.
These trainers will give you a task to complete to join that society. Note that you don't need to choose either, as it is not linked to learning artisan engineering at level 35 at all.â€

Gnome trainer is in booty bay
and boblin mastery is started and finished in gadgetzen

Sorry, noob here, but can you learn both gnome & goblin ?
Nope, you can only learn one, and you can't change it after you decide. I will also note that because this is quest linked you can't ever change it. Even if you drop engineering and skill it up again from the beginning. The game still knows that you completed the goblin or gnome quest and you will forever be that type of engineer. 300 goblin engineer here myself :)
