A problem. Requesting comments and help.Follow

Hi I'm new here at the boards ^^

Ok ok ok..

First of all characters:

lvl 32 Shaman - Herbalism 159 - Alchemy 147

lvl 18 Warrior - Entchanting 53 - Tailoring about 7

My problem is that I want to earn big cash, but simply can't find a way to do so.

Yes I have read guides and so on, very useful.. but most require me to like get 2 gathering skills (which is a clever idea IMO) but I can't give up anything now after been training so long.

My warrior, whom I dont play with really, I thought about just learning Entchanting on him so I could earn money, since always see people interested in getting entchanted.

So I did that, used many many items from my Shaman so he could disentchant, I wasnt much for it, but was sure I would get money after that..

Well I hitted 50 skill points..and then it all started getting hard. I simply couldn't afford to be entchanting.

Then i read guides, and found out that I should have taken Tailoring with it, so i did that. But I quickly realized that in the end I WOULD HAVE TO get my Warrior to lvl 35 in case to get my Entchantment full.

So I dont think thats worth it. All I want is to start earning decent money on my lvl 32 Shaman, so I would have enough money for like a mount and mail items when I reach lvl 40.

I only have 5g right now, and players at lower lvls even have more money than me.

Now again I was like " make a new character and get 2 gathering professions" but that would indeed take long.

So any suggestions? I can't seem to sell Alchemy for it to be worth something. And all I hear is that Alchemy is bad for money making..

My server is Bloodscalp if anyone wants to know.

I would really like your comments and suggestions to help me, since I have been using the last week on trying to find a decent method.

Thanks in advance, all ^^

Well, you've got one gathering profession already with your shaman..

But if you want something ya dont have to really lvl up a whole bunch learn enchanting, and instead of lvling your enchanting skill, just disenchant your old gear and weapons, and any greens or higher that drop. Then sell the disenchants on the AH; you'll get a good bit of money from that.

Hope that helps a little.

best proffessions to make money is keep enchanting on an alt.
use it to disenchant any items you cant use.

Pickup mining and herbalism on youre main.
just pick the veins left and right and the herbs and sell all you gather and the mats from disenchanting on the AH.

my girlfriend made 20g+ this way before getting to lvl 35 :)
its the best way to make money if you feel a bit unlucky with drops.

You don't need two gathering professions to make a ton of cash.

I mean, it would help, but let's move past that.

You are a 32 shaman, which is good, because you are gonna be farmin. Do instance runs (RFK until SM becomes viable) and kill every humanoid you find. PArticularly useful are the grimtotem clan in thousand needles and the quillboars in the southern barrens. These all drop money, vendor trash and wool and silk, both of which you can probably bag 1 gold for each. Send the green items that won't sell on the AH (ie cloth with strength and agility bonuses) to your enchanter, and just disenchant it.

Sell the dusts and essences you get on the auction house. Disenchanting will level you up to 80 I believe, given enough time. So THAT is nice.

Otherwise, slack off on the alchemy a bit and just sell whatever stacks of herbs you can get money for. Kingsblood and mageroyal are both nice (I think) and swiftthistle always holds a place in rogues' withered little hearts. If you stop trying to level your alchemy for a bit, you can come back to it when you have cash to burn.

Also, you can play the auction house, buying low and selling high, although this is ethically distasteful and less fun then beating stuff up.

Make two alts on the alliance side. Run one to Ironforge and one to Gadgetzahn (yeah, you'll die a lot). Sell pets, materials, and whatever you can find for profit from one side to the other. Yeah, you'll be a traitor, but you can at least make some cash from it.

Drop tailoring on your warrior. Just drop it right now. When farming gets tiring, put a pickaxe in his hand and grab all the copper you can find. sells for 50-75s a stack most times, and every little bit helps, right?

Lastly, don't be afraid to skip on your training for a couple of levels. Particularly things you aren't using (windwall and flametongue totems leap to mind). The stuff in the shimmering flats also yields excellent vendor trash (not to mention paying quests) when you get tired of mobs running away from you.

2 gathering professions IS a way to make money, but you should keep what you have already. Just gather more, and spend less.

Or a whacky idea is to do some research on what sells, I have a few alchemest so I have some insight for ya.

Frost Oil, I have bought almsot 2 mounts with just forst oil proffits, you will want a few more levels before you try farming for frost oil mats. It is used in crafting for other professions and a badlands quest.

Shadow oil, I know LW buy this stuff for some of their craft items, i dont ask why, I just know it sells

Demonslaying potions, used for demonslay enchant, i can usualy get a gold for each one.

Next is herbs, stop making potions and just sell the herbs
although the big price inflation is over i can usualy get 5 gold for a stack of 20 Kingsblood, same price for Goldthorn and about half that for stragelkelp(water walking and water breathing helps in getting full stakcs fast)

Money Alt.
make a rouge or a druid, when they can start stelthing to named mobs in instances, you can start farming shards using enchanting,i can pull about 10/hr in just gnomergon by stealthing to fallout and Disenchanting Hydrocanes and the like. Mining also makes some cash, so menny porfessions use metal.
