I'm a lvl 23 Hunter at 150 in leatherworking. I haven't found any trainer who can teach me how to do bags. Is that not possibe?

If your horde then yes you should get a quest from one of the trainer[]s[/] i don know where becasue im alliance and alliance dosnet get a quest for a leather 6 slot bag for newbs

I have a level 300 leatherworker and I've never seen a pattern for a leather bag other than quivers and shot pouches.

there are no bags created through leatherworking, except for the aforementioned quivers and ammo bags. mageweave bags and the like are from tailors.

leatherworking can make bags, but only one. the kodohide bag (6 slots) and is only easily obtainable by the horde leatherworkers.

The Kodo Hide 6 slot bag quest is acquired in Thunder Bluff.

Playing as an allliance leatherworker, I have yet to come accross a bag (currently 272 skill)

i have seen in Stormwind U can learn 12 slots bag just ask a guart were U can find a letherworker its close to SI7 the roque hangout
My understanding is that Blizzard added a 6 slot leather bag to the tauren area because the tauren race does not have any cloth wearing classes (Druid, Hunter, Shaman, Warrior) so they are unlikely to take up tailoring. The kodo bag gives low level taurens access to a six slot bag.
