First aid is pretty much a must have. Because of the warlock's reliance on converting health to mana later on, you'll make good use of being able to bandage yourself. This requires a lot of cloth, so I would suggest away from tailoring.

Herbalism/Alchemy is a decent combo, though warlocks don't particularly need potions more or less than anyone else.

You could try mining/engineering. There are plenty of cool things that would work great with warlocks.

I think the best bet is simply taking two gathering type skills, though. Skinning (because it doesn't require the minimap) and then either herbalism or mining.

If you're other character is a leatherworker, skinning/herbalism is an obvious choice.

Mining/Engineering has long been considered a tradeskill that will help you compensate for many of the shortcomings of the Warlock class. I agree with the first-aid comment and would add that cooking is equally important, you'll love the +sta bonuses and the better health regen will be better.

But mining/engineering should help you as you solo and pvp as a warlock and is some GREAT fun to boot!

I agree--SB and Dynomite are a great combo. Engineering/Mining all the way!

i know one warlock who does mining but i personally chose tailoring.

i really do enjoy being able to make what i wear at some levels when i want more +INT gear than what i'm currently wearing. but if i want +INT and +STA gear (of the eagle), which is preferred, then it's pretty much buying from the AH anyway and therefore, tailoring is not so much necessary for you to do at all as a cloth wearer.

try the engineering out, it's definitely fun to make all those little gadgets. but as much as i enjoy LW or tailoring, i think it's a little harder to level up engineering and bsmith bc of needing all the extra ingredients that you need for one item.
