I just hit 300 blacksmithing yesterday and my partner hit 300 enchanting as well. Now that we are maxed out on our tradeskills, I'm really starting to wonder if it was all worth it.
It seems like I have to invest a lot of time and effort into doing these trade skills to make a small margin of profit. My time and effort would have gotten me more had I just farmed for gold. It also seems hard to find buyers because say the arcanite reaper will cost the buyer 900g or so, and they can probably just find a better drop anyway. Plus just getting the formula is insanely difficult, and when I do get it, why not just sell it for 500g to some other sucker blacksmith? I would have to make and sell 10 arcanite reapers before I'd ever see any kind of real profit. I don't know maybe I'm missing something.
Enchanting on my server is insane. There are a large number of them all selling enchants for practially mat cost. I don't see why we put in all the time and effort and sunk 250g to get the crusader enchant formula and then only get a few gold profit selling the enchant.

It’s only pointless if it isn’t fun. I like making things. I like making things for myself and I like making things for friends and alts. I never expected to make a profit from my production professions. Should I ever do so that’s great, but it’s not the reason why I chose those professions.
This game is more forgiving of leveling up production profession than others I’ve played. But I still feel that players should only take production skills if they enjoy crafting. If money is the object than gathering skills is the easy and profitable way to go.
All I can suggest is that if you decide to play alts you may want to consider taking two gathering skills.

First of all with crusader you can make it all bac k plus soem with atleast 6 enchants they normally sell for 60g+ second of all, no enchanting is ever useless, if you in a guild use for guild,

LOL It is easily known as one of the best warrior weapons possible that is crafted, hell almost period, i hear so many warriors saying i lvoe this weapon, im on laughing skulls, and neither professiosn makes you poor, if you dont like the crafting at the mommeny, jsut use your mining to your advantage.
