First off let me just say that I do not want to be so bold or arrogant as to say I am the first one to figure this out... Although it does seem to me like it.

I just recently got my Chanting to 206

When I finaly got to around 80 I came to realize something by complete accident.

If you Enchant something... Say A bracer, with lets say... Int +3 you get a skill up. Now here is the trick and again I do not claim that I am the first to figure this out but if you Enchant that same bracer with +3 Int again... You get another skill up.

So I guess my advice for any chanters out there would be to get yourself some crappy cloth bracers and find a nice cheap bracer enchant (In my experiance bracer enchents seem to cost the least amount) and grind away untill you go to whatever desired lvl you wish to atain.

Its not an exploit or anything

You can simply overwrite chants on everything

Well, this is a very common method everywhere I have been, hehe :) But what most people do is try to sell it, even for a tiny amount; enchanting is expensive enough as it, even without a 100% loss by self-enchanting over and over again.

Still, sometimes it's easier than giving out cheap or free enchants ^_^

My character also has tailoring, and once you can make green or above items, you can disenchant those. The only reason I suggest this is because there is no gathering associated with tailoring, so if you can't decide on your other profession (other than enchanting) you might want to consider tailoring. Just one way I've tried to speed up the skill-up process in addition to the method listed above.

Sorry to burst you're bubble, but that is common knowledge to most enchanters. It is the preferred method of skilling up thru the mid levels on every enchanter guide I have read. Most will tell you mid-level enchants usually don't sell very well and the one you do sell tend to be money losers. The exception to this rule is the glowing enchants, people just love to have a glowing weapon. Enchants are supposed to be over-writeable, it is just assumed that it will be with newer/better ones. Here's the key point that you failed to mention;
While Enchanting the same item, with the same enchant, for skill-ups numerous times:
1. Watch the color of the enchant, same color codes on skill-ups as any other profession. (orange,yellow, green, grey)Most say that once you don't skill-up 40% of the time on average its time to move to the next pattern.
2. Try to do the enchants that use dusts only for re-enchanting the same item for skill-ups, ie Enchant Chest - Greater Health.
3. It's very helpful to have a carfting profession to support enchanting. It's usually easier to make items to DE than to buy the enchanting suppies from the AH.

Youre not the only one ;)

Thats pretty much the way it went for me leveling my enchanting from 1-200.

After that I do try to sell them for any amount I can get.
