In the column to the left on this page, click on "Trade Skills - By Trade", then on Leatherworking. This will give you a list of all the recipes available for a leatherworker, by level and specialty. I count 12 recipes for Dragonscale, only a few of which can be bought from vendors or learned from trainers. The rest come from drops.

Good luck,

Off the top of my head their are 13 dragonscale only items in the game the 2 pices"Dragonscale" that use worn dragonscales, and the 3 3 pice sets, and then the red one, and the cloke.

Then their are the cenerian circle items, but I belive only the epic one requires dragonscale LW

Do as you will, but the comment I just quoted, I have read meny times before(Your not the first). On some levels my inner butthead says "Just keep silent and let him lern" but the ourter butthead says"OK then what are you going to replace it with?" Smithing?, so you can be angry about arcane crystals(and you have to have them to make any of the realy good Smithing items)? Alchemy, so you can be frustrated wtith the potion market, and skitter arround looking for flask recipes, and then be frustrates with the amount of mats that goes in to one? Enchanting so you can sit arround Org spamming a macro to recoope your losses on mats?

Their are plenty of good options avaialable, but at the end of each skill you will have a similar feeling, and thats is that their is not enuff, for you. thats because professions are not limited by class, and theirfore need to appeal to a few diffrent classes at once. The only real soluion is to give up crafting and become a gatherer, or just enjoy what is avaiable.

now i will get off my soap box, here is a link to all things dragonscale, note 2 items cannot be crafted, the ring and the sheild, but have the word dragonscale in them, so they show up.
The search funcion is the key to moving arround this sight.

But to answer your question, dragonscale was made for Shaman's. Try using Blue dragon mail sets, those are awesome and lasted me until I was getting my end game gear. No there aren't a good amount of patterns for Leatherworking crafters, but the stats are for a Shaman.

Good luck,

Stick with your dragonscale leatherworking. As mundane as it can feel and as little your options are I will tell you this much. End game a lot of Hunters will be knocking down your door for a simple 4 piece set called Black Dragonscale leggings/chest/shoulders/boots because guess what it gives. Yup, Fire resist baby. You can farm the mats for this stuff and sell each piece for at least 50g if not more on AH because as hunters get into MC groups and want to down rag, they are foaming at the mouth for fire resist gear. As for everything else, yea it's pretty much shammy crap but if you want to be a fire resist vending machine then this is where the money is at, it's simple to find mats, simple to put together and you can just sit back and watch the gold flow right in. Had I not originally rolled elemental I would ahve switched it up to dragonscale because now I gotta have my friend make my fire resist stuff.

All trades have their perks and all have their downfalls. It just depends on what you want to do with it that makes it good or bad. And when all else fails, drop everythign, pick up enchanting and mining or mining and skinning or some other gathering proffessions and sell mats for a living. You would be surprised what you can profit from with just 20 in enchanting. Go to SM and farm greens and blues, shard em and sell em on ah, doesn't cost a thing to put em up for sale and it's all strait profit.

Like I said really just depends what your willing to dump your time and energy into and if you are doing it because it's something to do or if you just wanna make money.
