I am currently working on my blacksmithing quests and i'm on the one that requires you to make the 10 green iron items. normally this wouldn't be problem considering all of the iron I have.... unfortunately i recently sold it all and I don't want to buy iron so I was wondering where some great iron farming locations are
As usual, I like the Badlands. Lots of Mithril in the ravines along the edges, lots of iron in most of the mountains and rocks in the center sections. Type "Iron ore" in the search box to the left to find maps of exactly where it can be found.
The outside edges, especially the north side of the Arathi Highlands also has a lot. Both the Highlands nad the Badlands have a forge in the middle of the zone so you can condense your load between passes.

I farmed my iron for these quests from... thousand needles. there were a few good places which always had some good deposits. I always went to, highperch (2-3 there), the harpy den and just outside of it (2-3), and just along that back wall, i'd always find about 2.
It took a while, but I eventually got it all, and now i'm an armorsmith (well after I finished all the other quests). But remember to save your mithril, you'll need a ton of it.
