MerchantFollow

I have been scared several times in many instance runs with all these ninja's and gold farmers i cant stand, so what i have done is farmed green or higher non-BoP items and selling them on either AH or advetising my 'Shadow Merchant' store in genral/trade chat.

I have made a text file on every bit of detail for a Merchant Skill, i just need to know waht can be done to make this not broken because i know people will take thsi another skill and sell sell sell [then sell the gold online for cash, which goes into paying for WoW which is then used for time to pay for WoW adn it never ends.]

If anyone would like to see the file ill either post it on here.

Well, without posting the file you're basically just saying, "Hey, I have an idea..."

You're asking what to do to make it not broken, without telling us about it.

Duh, I was to lazy to copy-paste t last night so here it is in all its glory, enjoy. PATENT PENDING! PATENT PENDING! PATENT PENDING!

World of Warcraft Profession - Merchant

Primary Profession
Supported by- Mining, Herbalisim, Fishing, Skining, Alchemy
Suggested for- Any class
Comments- excellent for anyone who have alot of items and like to sell to others or trade.

Merchant is an a good class to have, instead of you having to run from town to town asking if any one want to buy anything you can have a shop and chat with people in 'Merchant Chat'.
Merchants can open a shop up if they are level 25, before that Merchants need to sell items with there cart. every sale/trade counts as a skill depending on the item rarity.

- Two extra bag spaces [first at 150 skill, second at 300 skill]
- A cart, 6 slots, does not count as a bag but as a weapon, can be unequiped and equiped [Used to cary items, only for new merchants after becoming journeyman it is exchanged for a 8 slot cart]
- Shops will give you small discounts and higher selling prices, only for lv 30 merchants and up [10% discount and 10% on certain items sold]
- Merchants can find items better and pick up more items from creatures
- Merchants will eventually open a shop in any area or town, If the merchant is not there a list is left at the shop of items they have
- Other people can request you to give them items or trade from any where instead of being close by.

Downside's
- Cart takes up place for weapon
- Shop's may or may not do well
- Longer time to level up
- Annoying, if people request to much and may not sell certain items
- Getting better items means having a higher level and it takes time
-All the farming/grinding

Tips

- Kill mobs and take there items, stack them and sell cheap to other players
- Make friends who are or are not merchants to get good deals
- If you dont need money trade, If you are running out of space in your bag trade
- Pick up all items that are not picked up by other party members, every thing sells
- If something doesnt sell after X ammount of days either sell it to a vendor or lower the price
- Find a good place to open a shop, dont open one in a large city where tons of people may sell go to a place where others can find you but it is not as crowded with mechants.
- Remeber 'Anything can be sold, someone will buy it.'

Description of Shop

A merchants shop is not really a large complex shop it is more of a sign and stand with items on them.
Merchants shops have a limited ammount of space for sale, merchants start out with 5 spaces and then build up more and more.
New merchants start out with only a blanket to sell stuff on but they can by items to make signs or make stands.
Merchants can also learn for a fee other languages so they can sell to other races.
Merchants can also enter into enemy territory but can not attack or be attacked by NPC or Players. They are treated as neutral.

Mixing Professions

This and Enchanting- Disenchant and sell regements or Enchant and sell equipments to player.

This and Herbalism/Skinning- Sell to the supported class, EX. Leather to be sold to peopel who need it but dont have skinning, Herbalism to people who have alchemy but not herbilism or need herbs.

Why Merchant would be a good profession

Yes I know what you may be thinking, Any one can all ready do this. But if you do do this you get the benifets and you can help others.
Since you can only chose 2 professions in WoW if you are a merchant you can help others by getting supplies they can not get because they dont have that profession and then sell it to them.
Unlike NPC vendors Merchants can take requests on what to get, you can set prices cheaper or higher then normal vendors do.
Example- If I am a merchant in Ogrim do you think I will sell a weapon for 30s if a vendor has it for 15s? No you wouldnt do that, but you could sell it by...

-Improving it [Enchant/Blacksmith]
-Go to another town where the item can not be found
-Sell it cheaper or throw in a free something that would equal out to a resonable price.

Tips or selling
-Be kind to all buyers, say thanks or something nice, dont be rude because they may not tell other about you or tell people 'Dont buy from him.'
-Open a store in a location that is easy to get to, if you are an Alchemist/Merchant and you make potions to sell open a shop in a place people will find you easly or in a place where it is needed. [Example- Out side a town so they dont need to run back and forth buying potions]
-Dont /y to people to much, if no one replys with in 2-3 minutes /y agian, dont /y ever few seconds
-Have discounts for certain people, Dont give stuff away for free to people just because there your friends it cost money or time to get what you got.
