And perhaps a guide on herbalism, though if this also exists can someone please give me a link.
Everything You Want to Know About Herbalism I wrote that up a while back. It isn't a guide to gathering flowers, per se, but it literally tells you everything you want to know about herbalism.
Guides are a funny thing. For example, there really isn't much to say about First Aid and leveling it, besides pointing out where to get the recipes, and how to do the quest. Just level up on yellow/green recipes until you hit the next cap or find the next recipe. It really doesn't require a guide, and the points you get will be based on luck, so the guide could be off.
Same with herbalism. I can tell you the best locations (that I have found) for herbs, but I can't tell you exactly where they are in the zone, because they change spots and precise locations everytime they respawn. So I can give you a general idea, and what they're used for; but there's no real reason to get down to the nitty-gritty and say "Run along the southern part of Elwynn to find find stony areas like near the Defias docks. These locations usually have 2 spawns." No real reason; I just say "Look for rocky outcroppings in the newbie zones." It's up to the individual player to map out locations with Gatherer (if they feel it is needed).

first off, the tradeskill sticky is a great read. Kudos to you man! There is an npc in southern Winterspring named Vi'el that sells Felcloth. He has two in his inventory and I'm not sure the length of the cooldown before he sell's again. Just thought I'd add that little tidbit for you. Most of the time when I've gone there, he's got stock. (Mind you I only go there once every 4 days)

(Slightly off topic here)
Locke, I don't know if you're the person to do this or not, but it would be very helpfull to organize the tradeskill forum according to each trade. As I'm thinking about this, its more of an admin thing, but would it be possible to have your trade skill sticky set up as the main, then have sub category forums for each skill? I ask partially because everything is one conglomerative mass and certain topics are asked twice, sometimes on the same page.
Fortunate, my understanding is that there isn't enough traffic to justify a page dedicated to each tradeskill. It's like asking "Why don't we have individual server pages?"; the problem is too little traffic already and too much space and power that it would take up if they were added.
However, when Zam.com comes out, perhaps Alla will have the resources to add tradeskill pages; but until then, I think it'll work out as it is :).

Q. What are schools and pools of fish? And floating debris/wreckage?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd like to see this enhanced a bit. A listing of the various types of pools and what you catch in them would be nice. For the rarer pools (like the essence pools in Azhara), maybe even some coordinates.
examples:
Pool of Oily Blackmouth (Many coasts)
Oily Blackmouth
Rumsey Rum
Stranglekelp
Oil Slick (Stonetalon - Windshear Crag)
Firefin Snapper
Bronze Strongbox
Rumsey Rum
Pool of Deviate Fish (The Barrens - all Oases)
Deviate Fish
etc.
This is only an example, and I'm doing it from memory, so I can't guarantee that what I listed is what you'll get. I just did it for the formatting, basically. I can help in getting some of the information for this, but I haven't been everywhere. This would have to be a multi-person effort to get comprehensive info.
I agree this would be good, but alas, it is out of my own power to undertake such a task, hehe :-D. Kind of like in the herbalism guide, I put in the basics; I mentioned the Azshara essence pools (although I know there is a map out there with the 6 spawn locations; I should really try to find that); and you're right, I should add in those other things you can fish up.
Did you know that food and drink (like Rumsey Rum) buffs stack? Makes them very useful.

A lot of good info in there, but seems to be lacking leatherworking information for lower levels. A great discussion for specialization, but what are some good items to go for before your skill hits 225? What's the best/fastest way to get to 225? For instance, most items you are making just to boost your skill at lower levels it's not actually anything that you (or anyone for that matter) would equip. Which items sell better? Some items cost 8 pieces of leather, some only cost 4 or 6 and they both raise your skill by only one point, so of course your going to want to make the item that only costs 4 pieces vs. the one that costs 8 especially if it's garbage your going to resell to a vendor. Just basic information for levels 1-40 leatherworking. I'll worry about specialization when I get there.
That's my own shortcoming there; I have never done Leatherworking, so I know absolutely nothing about it besides what I hear :-P What I really need is someone to do some research on it and see if they can come up with answers to your questions :)
