This is a two parter. My gnome warrior is level 27:
From what I gather, I cant become Artesian until I am 35 (went down to see that Goblin in BB since IF trainer has no more receipes for me) however, the Goblin has no receipes for me either.
I was making armor last night up my smithing level beyond 225. It wont budget or am I not patient enough. These were orange ones and usually get one point per try if that color. Is it going to take more that one item made now or am I stuck at 225. I want to get to 235 to make the Spurs.
Second part I think I understand better. I want to be an armorsmith, however it looks like it is based on toon level. Since only 27, do I have to wait till 40 to start all the quests.
I am totally confused now. What wait 8 levels in toon xp and then I can move up again? Why cant I move smithing xp up.

If you could be an Artisan crafter at level 5, the game "balance" would be out of whack. The rules are there to ensure the best crafting is only available to those who work for it. Level 35 isn't hard to reach, but it's not an overnight endeavor, either.
Take the time to invest in secondary professions (cooking, first aid, and fishing) -- focus on other aspects of the game is what I mean -- for the next 8 levels. You'll be 35 before you know it.

Hehe, well My Pally is capped in fishing and my little gnome is almost to 225 however like smithing has to be a higher level, 35 to do the fishing quests.
So, I cant get to the Spurs till I level her 8 levels and I cant get the levels in tradeskill until I level her in fighting levels so she can then to skill leveling.
Cripes, what a circle. Oh well.
Grrrr. Well, I guess wont be doing any skills soon, except my mining which am Artesan in as of last night. Can do my first aid Artesan one have too lazy.
