I get very high values i.e. lvl 49 green Bracers, which d/e into ~80 % dreamdust x3,5 , ~20 Lesser Eternal Essence x1,5 , ~3 % small brilliant shard x 1, enchantrix gives a value of 62g76s. The BO on this one is 10g.
How many times have you scanned the auction house? If you have only scanned for one or two days, then you will not have a reliable database. I would scan every day for at least one week before trusting the numbers. After this, it would also be a good idea to check a few items in detail to see if the Enchantrix estimates appear to be correct. Viel Spass!

Well i´ve been running scanns now for about 3-4 days atleast 2 times a day. Does anyone know how enchantrix actualy calculates the d/e value of items ?

How is the Enchantrix Price Calculated?
[adapted by Dinesh from a post by LaoTseu - details have not been officially verified by a developer, so caveat emptor]

The value used by Enchatrix' bidbroker and percentless commands is actually an average of three values. The following is used to generate a DE value:

Disenchant Value = confidence * (HSP + Market Value + Base Value) / 3

Confidence is nearly always 1 for Reagents because they are present in every scan and their prices tend to be relatively stable
HSP is the Highest Sellable Price
Market Value is the Auctioneer IQR Median value (usually reliable)
Base Value is a hardcoded static value (taken from allakhazam at some point in the past)
Possible Issues with this Value
On some servers with high numbers of Reagents auctions, the HSP or Median values seem to always be out of whack. I think this happens when the number of auctions for a particular reagent for each scan is larger than 35, the history size (maxBuyoutHistorySize). In this case, it seems like just the items in the last scan are used to calculate the median price.

Possibly something else is going on, but in any case what I see is something like Greater Eternal Essence listed as 15g by Auctioneer, in a market that experience has shown will not buy them for more than 7-8g. Now that I know the market, I can mentally adjust the % of percentless so that I still make money out of the items I buy for DE, but it requires some mental calculation.

Wow... just wow.

I've been playing WoW for about a week now, maybe a little less.

I have only 1 char that I play. Lvl 20

And on top of that, my server is pretty new.

I had looted EVERYTHING and had herbalism for a while and finally saved up 2g. Then I came across this guide and read it and decided to give it a shot. Since my levels in Herb and Skinning weren't all that high, I decided to go Tailor/Ench on my main character.

Yesterday I took 1.7g and followed the guide. Bought a couple lower level items and one biggy (taking note of what they would DE (DC) into and with a LOAD of doubt in my mind I disenchanted them.

Got the mats and went to the auction house. Used the auctioneer to see what prices it thought would work and then double checked with the search function.

Checked my mail today before going to college and found that half of my items had SOLD! What was even better was that with just half of them selling, my total gold has gone back up to 2g!

I'm still hoping that the rest will sell by the time I get off work tonight, hopefully bringing up my total gold even higher. I never thought that this would work on my particular server as it is only a month old, but I was floored that it did.

And with the weekend coming up, the AH will be booming! If I can make 10g by the guild meeting on Sunday so I can announce we have a Tabard, that will be all the better!

HELP HELP HELP... hey guys... ive been doing fine with this guide for making $$ but something strange has been happening lately... when i am scanning the AH.. it seems that when i am just about more then half way done and also just about done...a small pop up window comes up and says that i am using more then 48mb of add ons or something.. and then it logs me off..

do you guys know what this is?? i mean i never had this happen until recently.. and i tried to shut off all the add ons except auctioneer and enchantrix and it still pops up..

PLEASE.. if there is someone out there that knows what to do or had a simmilar problem.. help!!!!!!

I have never exerienced anything like that but I guess you just have too many add-ons. If it doesn't work turning them off, you might want to try and completely remove a few of them from your add-on file in your WoW Interface map.

Hope it works then...

Easy to solve problem. Open up the add-on Menue on the top right corner there is a number of how many memory u want 2 use for ur add-ons. Depending on how much RAM u got i would use around 128 MB. Just type 128 in the field and there u got. Problem solved.

Well, after making 7 gold, the market seemed to die.

I can't find any items that will disenchant for a higher mat value... then again, the weekend DID just happen, so that might be a reason why.

Anyone have thoughts on this? Buy durring the week, sell durring the weekend?

Try expanding your search to percentless 40 and 30. This will give you a longer list of items. If you still can't find enough items, try /enchantrix bidbroker 100. This command will show you auctions for which the price difference between the current minimum bid and the projected disenchanted value is 1g. (The number is the difference in silver)

The weekend is normally a busier time. It is likely that you will see more items for sale and more price competition. The other side of the coin, where demand is high and certain types of enchanting mats sell out, is also possible. For example, lately Small Radiant Shards have become scarce and sell for around 4g each. Previously they were around 2.5g.

This is a great guide and much more efficient than my own method of using enchantrix and DEing items off from the AH. Maybe some day I'll get around to posting that, but none the less, this guide still works just as good if not better.

It is by no means an ULTRA, quick way to make TONS of gold, but it is a nice, steady stream of incoming gold, that could keep your repair bills paid if you are a heavy raider. For me, it does good for paying for my pots and other small consumables.

Which server? IMHO Greymane Alliance side is working fine, but I'm looking at higher level stuff.

I have been doing this for the past 4 days now and went from 7g startup to 40g just buying cheap greens, d/e ing them and selling mats. It also helps when you get a couple blues for 75s and resell them for over 10g too. I've made at least 60g doing this so far and things are still looking good.

no its windrunner a bunch of noobs keep undercutting by way to much like 20+ percent and they sell not just one or two of these they sell abunch

Ok, I grabbed the guide and thought "cool", so i made an alt, levelled him to 5, ran him into the city, learned enchating, wired 10G to him. Been using auctioneer for ages, so have a solid database. I have been running it every morning for over 2 months and on weekends normally 4 or 5 times.

However, after 2 weeks my 10g is now 9g11s. I figure it's being overdone on my server (Khaz'goroth). Sure, if all my items sell I'll have about 20g, but that's 10g in 2 weeks - my main can do that in under 2 hours with little effort. And that's only if things sell.

I'm glad it's worked for some, I might start an alt on another server, and level it up to get enough gold to start, then decide if it's really worthwhile.

So I tried this tactic out on Mug'thol with my seed money... well, the entire system is screwed for me... why? Because some guy named Enrapure has a set of each mats up for 99g. So Enchatrix sees almost everything at 70% profit or more! Then I check it out after I buy and find.... well the rest of the sets are at about 50s a stack...

so yea.... I am slightly ticked off. The guide itself seems solid. Any ideas on how to overcome this obstacle?

Scan more with auctioneer on diffirent days and build up a solid database. That should help with those 99g buyouts^^

Tick the boxes for weapons and armour only before you start the scan

This has been working pretty well for me. I hit over 100 gold yesterday DE'ing for over a week. Would have been more but I've spent about 100 gold buying weapons for me and my boyfriend. A couple of things I've found to be helpful:

If you are like me and have 200 Lesser Astral Essences you can't sell, go for level 30+ items at a lower percentage /enchantrix percentless 35 is the lowest I'll go on my server. You end up with a huge auction list but usually about 10-20 decent 30+ items, 2-4 55+ items and an occasional bluey. I've pretty much cornered the auction house with Greater Nether Essences and Greater Eternal Essences. I'm hopeing it doesn't backfire on me, but I haven't been jacking the price up hugely and have been buying items that are listed under my buy value and relisting them. So far its been working fine.

Another Tip: Look for leather. DE'ing Leather over cloth is a slightly higher percentage to DE into Essences which sell better. See a high priced/ high level cloth item? I tend to skip them and go for weapons, trinkets, leather and mail/plate. My essence and shard ratio have been pretty good.

Last tip: To deal with those annoying window scroll issues when doing lower percent searches. You don't need an add on, you simply need to type in this command when logging in the first time:

/script for i=1,7do getglobal("ChatFrame"..i):SetMaxLines(2000)end

This resets your window to 2000 max lines. I also have my print size on 10 pt (lowest) so i can see more in the window. I wasn't able to see the Highest level items when running this search until i expanded the max lines to 2000, definately change it...you are gimping yourself if you don't.

Hope this helps. Thanks for the original guide (even though I wish you'd take it off Allakhazam :P )

take a nice gold making plan like this and you know how to ***** it up?

take a bunch of idiots and have them do this and start undercutting each other to death...

many folks on my server dont seem to realize that you do Percentless50 and you start undercutting each other to death, then you gonna loose out more money!

i've seen mat prices drop from 3g to 1g now! that is 66% drop in price!!! do the math!

people gotta understand... there is a line in the original instruction to not undercut each other too much!!!

strange dust and some trashy lower lvl items, fine, get rid of em... but when you have real moneymakers and you see that not too many folks are selling it on AH, why would you undercut it by over 20%? list it at same price! it will sell!

I changed my undercut to 3% instead of the standard 5%. Prices still seem to be going up on my server, so I'm not worried.

I made some good money with this guide. But it looks like you will need a high skilled enchanter in order to continue doing this when patch 2.0 is released.

Quote:
Skill level now determines what items you can disenchant.

* Skill 1= Level 1-20
* Skill 25= Level 20-25
* Skill 50= Level 25-30
* Skill 75= Level 30-35
* Skill 100= Level 35-40
* Skill 125= Level 40-45
* Skill 150= Level 45-50
* Skill 175= Level 50-55
* Skill 200= Level 55-60
* Skill 225= Level 60-65

I just tried it and enchantrix only found a few low level greens that came to just about 2g under your search terms, which is annoying as I sent the alt 10g from my main, maybe there will be more successful searched at a later date. At the moment it seems like I'll make a healthy profit because it got 2 lesser eternal essences that sell for 3.5g on average, amongst the other essences and strange dust. At best I'll make 2.5g profit which is more than double so I'm happy. If the ratio continues as more items are found in the enchantrix search I will be very happy.

hmmm... too bad, basicly that means you must lvl your guy upto lvl 20 and power level his enchanting to 225 using this guide (this is what I have done with Castillo)

So a bit more work for us but it also means that we get bigger profits when there isnt as much competition around;)

An in the end of the day, you can get to lvl 20 in a day or so:D Still quicker than grinding IMO
