In general, yes. Basically, when you say percentless 50, what you are asking is for Enchantrix to subtract 50% of the HSP price from itself to create a buy-out price. Then it looks for items that have a buy-out price that is equal to or lower than the buy-out. If you are satisfied with a 40% profit rather than a 50% profit, you would subtract 40% of the HSP from the HSP to create a buy-out price. This might generate a lower profit, but provide a much larger sample of items to be disenchanted - volume could make a big difference, but it's really up to the individual on which eay to go. I know that there have been times when I could find very few items that met HSP/2, so sometimes I've fudged a little - but not by much.

edit: I forgot to mention one thing. For higher-ticket items, like ARCANE DUST, I don't really go with HSP/2. For those, I look for gold. For things I buy that are over 2G in cost, I look for at least a 1G profit, and for things that I buy for over 5G, I look for a 2G profit. Often the buy-out does not meet HSP/2, but still returns a very ince profit. This is the equivalent of using /Bidbroker, rather than /percentless.

Hmmmp... they released the new auctioneer but they are rewriting enchantrix again.. wonder how long that takes, anybody found an alternative addon?

Heya guys...I´m having some problem when trying this, prolly it´s some of configuration or something like that.

When I type /enchantrix percentless 50, it returns a msg like this: "Buyouts having 50% savings over average disenchant values (min = 10):
Percentless done."

I tryed percentless 70, 90, 30, 10, 5...same msg. I had the 3.9 and now I got the Auctioneer 4.0, with no success.

Plz, I´d like some help here, if you can.

Okay a couple of questions.

First-do i have to use an alt.. becasue i already have like 270 enchanting

Second-Most of the time when doing the 50% thing, do you always get things that De into Strange dust, and that level essence, or can you get lvl 40+ items? because it would seem to me that you would get a better profit off of the higher level items. So what do you think?

NO, you don't need an alt. What you need to do is reserve time at the beginning and end of a session to do the AH thing if you are doing this with your main. Doing the searches by hand (because Percentless and Bidbroker are disabled) takes a bit of time (about 1 hour for me). I usually only do searches once a day, and the rest of the time spent at the AH/mailbox is spent disenchanting items that have arrived in the mail. When DEing it's best to have all of your bags empty, so you might think about reserving some bank slots to place your adventuring bags into while you DE into your empty bags. This also ensures that you don't DE stuff you want to keep (like spare armor).


Actually, the profit off the bigger items is smaller, but the amount of gold is better. When you buy a L45 item at 8G that DE's into a 10G sale, your profit is 20%, but the amount of gold made is 2G. That's as opposed to a L12 item that you buy at 4S and DE into 10S worth of mats. Your profit on the lesser item is 60%, but your total take is only 6S.

In my DE experiences it much better to concentrate on essence and ignore dust (except vision and illusion dust which sells like hotcakes on my server).

Lesser essences sell for more profit than the greater essences so I find most of my money making coming from breaking them down and selling them on the AH at a significant profit!

I tried the DE tooltip in the auction house and it didnt seem to work for me. maybe i was doing something wrong?

Anyway my real question: Since enchantrix' percentless function is currently disabled, what are you guys using to determine what to buy and DE from teh AH? Just going off previous knowledge? Using an outdated mod? Using a different mod?

Hm so when you hover over with de button pressed, is it just the 'requires level 225' that you're looking at? and from that you predict what it will de into?

So many expensive greens , its a risky market without percentless =o

To the people who constantly complain about them being "broken": You should go to Norganna's website and volunteer your time, effort, and expertise to help make them better, instead of doing absolutely nothing but ********* If it wasn't for that great group of people who put forth their free help towards coding the addons, we wouldn't have them at all.

While Enchantrix does not do percentless any more, It does allow you to display the HSP (Highest Sellable Price) in the tooltip. If you divide that by 2, you will get 50% profit same as percentless. I search the AH in groups of all items uncommon or better in several searches - 2-15, 15-30, 31-45, 46-56, and 57-63. I still make lots of gold, even with percentless and bidbroker disabled. It just takes a bit longer to sort out what to buy/bid on from what not to.

Spent 5g and made 35g off of 7 greater nether essences :D

Hand calculation works fine. I helped two people get flying mounts, which is the only reason I'm below 2K gold at the moment. In a week or two, I'll be back up to normal.

Oh, and I finally got to L35 and 275 skill, so I can DE anything in the game now.
