Where to Fish?Follow

#1 Sep 06 2006 at 11:32 AM Rating: Decent
Well, in my sig it says I'm a lvl 25 hunter, and I have around a lvl 160ish fishing skill, but I don't know where to fish for Stonescale Eel, to make the big cash. So can anyone tell me where to fish to make money, I also have around 20g and a cooking skill of 150. Thanks in advance!

At level 25 it may be tough, but I had good luck in STV and Tanaris for eels.

You can get to Steamwheedle in Tanaris with a bit of caution. You'll want an adjusted 275, though, to not miss fish there.

Thanks for the replies, BB was my fishing spot and I sold the oily blackmouth I got there and that was around a 10% chance of getting one of the blackmouth. I've never caught one eel. I also use baubles to give me +75 fishing. Where is Tanaris located and what lvl are the eels?

The road to Tanaris (not starring Bing and Bob):

From the Barrens, take the road south to Thousand Needles. If you are alliance, attacks stop as soon as you get on the elevator.

In Thousand Needles, pick up the flight path at Frrewind Post (if you are Horde) or at Thalanaar at the edge of Feralas (if you are Alliance). Then take the road Southeast to the Shimmering Flats, where you will turn South. Go south on the road until you get to the pass over the mountain. It will take you to Tanaris.

Pick up the flight path in Gadgetzan - the horde FP is to the North of the city, and the Alliance FP is to the south of the city.

From Gadgetzan, take the road East to Steamwheedle port. If you are less than level 40, you will want to stay close to the shore. The turtles won't attack you, and you can fish there anywhere along the coast. Look for the swarms of Stonescale Eels, Firefin Snappers, Oily Blackmouths, and Floating wreckage. Even if the spawns aren't there, fish anyhow. Without the spawns, Eels are aboout 10% of the catch and Firefin are about 15% - the spawns just up the percentage.
