Warlock - No
Hunter - ok, but not great. (You can make weapons and mail armor for yourself, but most of the armor is not well suited to hunters)

Please read the sticky for more depth on Blacksmithing: http://wow.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=69;mid=1131559767260411772;num=21;page=1

I'd still say no. Hunters can't use mail until level 40. You might be able to make yourself weapons, but you'll get better ones as drops or at the AH.

But do a trade skill you enjoy. If you feel you'd enjoy Blacksmithing, go for it.

If you are talking about the hunter, there are skills more suited to your toon, even at that level. Blacksmithing is not terrible, but it's certainly not ideal. At level 24, Blacksmithing will only be useful for making weapons for yourself or armor to sell since you can't use chain until level 40. The weapons are also usually inferior to what you can find in instances or auction house.

If you want to make gold, then you would be better off with two gathering professions until level 40. This is not ideal for a hunter since you will have to turn off beast/humanoid/... tracking to see the minerals & herbs. However, it isn't that bad.

If you like to PvP, then engineering is better. You can buy weapons and armor, but won't be able to use most bombs unless you are an engineer. There are also fun toys to give you an edge, and you can make guns and ammunition.

Herbalism/Alchemy is also nice, in that it supplies you with potions and a means of income.

If you are really interested in making armor for yourself, leatherworking is the way to go. You can make all your leather gear up to 40 and then choose the dragonscale branch of the leatherworking tree to make mail armor afterwards.

Tailoring and enchanting are also not that useful for a hunter, especially at lower levels.
