Wha wha wha?
I have cleared out the Gnoll camps before, sure they repsawn in under 30 seconds but I have cleard them out, the key is AoE.
Not all the camps in the Wetlands are “magic†camps. Granted, I’ve not used AE attacks to clear out the magic camps, but I’ve used my 60 rogue and my 60 fury warrior to clear out the level 25 gnolls very quickly. And there would always be a respawn of at least one gnoll in these camps at all times. And by “camp†I also include the surrounding patrols. So it’s not just the gnolls around the fire. But they are all within close visual range.
The trog camp on the small island, in front of the larger island, in the loch was one such camp as well. In the early days my rogue used to farm linen there. It was great because it was such a small area. But that was also bad. They would fall on top of each other when they died. I spent more time trying to loot the bodies than I did killing the trogs. Blizzard “fixed†that camp a long while back. I hated to see it go, but I understood why. It was a heavily used quest location and for level appropriate characters it was a death trap.

This brings me to a quesion for Calabar of your 300 toons, do you have any mages or locks? I have seen you talk about most others, yet those two seem to be "i got to level 30" type stories. I know the melee classes are that way for me(rogue/warrior).
I have a level 60 warlock. I just recently re-spent his talent points, changing from affliction to demonology. I kind of miss drain tanking, but I love the new 41 point pet. For once a warlock pet can hold agro. Now playing my warlock reminds me of playing my hunters. And for me that’s a good thing.
I have a level 40 gnome mage, but he’s more or less just a bank alt now. When I played in the open betas I played a dwarven mage. To my great disappointment, Blizzard removed mage from the classes a dwarf could choose. So I picked another short race to play. But it wasn’t the same. I just couldn’t get into playing a gnome. So come the expansion I plan to play an ice mage. I just don’t know if my mage will be the new alliance race or the new horde race. I love the look of the male blood elves, the first male horde race that isn’t in dire need of a chiropractor. But I’m not sure if I can leave my alliance character behind. Either way it’ll be interesting to see if I enjoy playing a mage of a different race. I do tend to prefer melee characters, but I think an ice mage has interesting possibilities.
