ok, im a tauren warrior on firetree (currently 28)
i started out as an herb/alch just cuz of the racial bonus, but after about 115 levels i got seriously bored so i dropped em both for mining/smithing and LOVE it. im currently 175smithing and 140mining, and here is where my question is.
mining is great for funding my smithing as well as providing materials. thing is, once i hit 300 smithing, i dont know if ill kieep the mining skill. i was thinking about using the smithing at that point to fund enchanting, so id be able to enchant gear as well as make it.
only been playing a month or so now, so please dont flame if that sounds like a dumb idea. just would like some input, because all my RL friends that play cant seem to agree on anything, and while my guild has been funding a lot of my levelling, nobody in it knows much about high level smithing.
from what ive read, it appears that enchanting is kind of a self supporting profession insofar that it doesnt require a gathering craft to match it.
