I dont know, I always thought the BS anti fear trinket was not uselsess, even for a hunter.
The hunter's pvp trinket does the same thing. my hunter started as a BS, ended as a lvl 300 swordsmith actually. It made some really nice money at the time. I later took up engineering for its various nicknacks and to help raid progression in my guild (repair bots, jumper cables, etc) I kind of want to take BS back up again for the profit (if there is still some there) but im sticking with engineering this time.
As for gearing your hunter with a profession, LeatherWorking (namely dragonscale) is hands down your best bet for being able to use most of what you make (and its some good gear too). The other advantage is you would also choose skinning with leatherworking and that way you dont need to use your tracking slot for minerals or herbs and there are always plenty of mobs to skin.
*edit* sorry sorry, was thinking of the rogue one, which isnt as strong but does work in the fear dept., and one person making a correction is sufficient.
