Is the Gatherer a legal addon i just wanna get some addons cause im new too WoW
It is but AFAIK it does not work with TBC.
Sure it does, there just isn't an official release version. Check the official site and get a developer build, works just fine.
My bad, last time I looked there wasn't a downloadable version of Gatherer, they've since updated the site :)

Gatherer was recently downgraded back to beta from gamma. They're working on it. In any case, I would suggest getting it from the source at norganna.org. That site will always have the latest info on the addon, as well as the latest usable version (although it may be a developer's version).
