Anyone who frequents the AH (either as a day trader or a disenchanter) has made exceptional buys at one time ot another. You didn't do anything improbable, and neither did the person you bought from.

You paid for lifesteal? It's not a rare drop if you can get a group to clear the beginning of Scholo a few times. The only reason it is worth anything is because people won't clear the first room.

Wow talk about gloating... Nice and all that you made a profit, but keep the bragging to yourself. You know, you aren't the only one that's made a profit, and i bet some other person was ecstatic when an idiot like you posted something for really cheap on the AH.

Just goes to show you, AH is your friend. But getting all hyped up from a game, and coming onto forums to brag, i mean seriously? Get a life.

You do realise that the person you ripped off was probably some little kid?

This is actually a win-win situation. The vendor put the item up for sale and was happy with the price (if he wasn't, he could have cancelled the auction at any time). The item sold and he's got the price he asked for, so that counts as a win.

You have secured a bargain. You're happy and that's a win too.

You know he could also be one of those ppl that thinks that recipies go for WAY too much on the AH and is kind enough to be one of those that prices more resonably in order to better share, I'm just sad that such a greedy person got the deal.

i sold the rest of my Essences of air for 5G apiece just because i wanted to get rid of them... they usually sell for 8-12G but i was like "man, ive had these forever". so yeah. :P

I completely agree with this. The price of some recipes are way out of control. People loot a blue/purple and automatically think... YAY something I can't use. Lots of gold and my pocket... too bad for the poor sap that has been farming this for 3 weeks and has not been able to get it!! LOL That's why I usually give/sell low all my recipes and other items to guildies that can actually use them. Altho, on the other side, I can't completely blame the person selling the recipe. If an enchanter buys it (esp one like that) you can be sure that they plan on making quite a hefty profit off selling the actual enchant.

The likelyhood of of someone attaining the level required to get that drop, and not understanding what the pattern is worth, is slim.

My guess is it was someone like me who cleans out their bank on occasion and decides to unload all the items that haven't sold in past auctions by posting them at prices that you know will sell.

For instance I had a pair of Boots of the Lynx that I had been trying to get twink prices out of for a few attempts, then I stashed it away in my bank. The other day, while cleaning out all the rep garbage from plaguelands, etc that has become obsolete with TBC, I decided to get rid of those boots. Put them on the AH for 1g knowing that I wouldn't ever have to pull them from my mailbox again.

One man's trash is another man's treasure ... I sell sutff all the time on Ah that may not be of perticular use to me so I'm more than happy to let it go at less than the "going rate" ... and on the other hand I am more than happy to pay handsomly for an item I really want and need ... See how that works ?! But good for you ... allways nice to line yout pocket with a little coin .

I guess you were lucky, but it's nothing to brag about. Things like that happen all the time. Like today, my friend bought Crusader for 20g.
