Okay, im really pissed off now. Today and yesterday, i spent around 2-3 hours figuring out why the guy in STV wouldn't give me the quest to get 300 BS. Do i need to have 225 blacksmithing before he'll give me the quest or what?
And also, I've read that this quest is supposed to train me as an armorsmith, but i dont want to be an armorsmith. Is there a different quest for me to train as a weaponsmith?

You need 220 BS and a certain level if i remember correctly. There is a weaponsmith quest that you get from the weaponsmith in Ironforge.
You might have to choose either weaponsmith or armorsmith from the guys in IF, before you can get training to 300. The guy in STV doesnt make you a armorsmith, only the guy in IF... and there are quests that go along with that that will bring you to STV. So hope that helps alittle
