It depends on what you want end game. If you were to go Blacksmithing, I would recommend specializing in Master Weaponsmith. As the Armorsmith does not bode well for us Pally’s at the moment. And the end game Weapons are still some of the best end game weapons. I went Armorsmithing, and am slowly regretting it.. jusy hoping Blizz will add some Plans for Pally’s.

If you don’t think weapons will be much of an issue for you later in the game, I would go with Jewelcrafting.

Other than that, good luck…

P.S. Engineering is always a fun tradeskill. Tons of little trinkets, I would say it is the most fun out of all the trade skills

If I rolled a Paladin, I'd go Jewel Crafting, since many of the things that I can make now don't really seem like good Paladin gear. Enginering could be good as well.
And Jhua, on the note of you regreting becoming a armorsmith, do as I did, pay 50g to the guy in Ironforge (I'm not sure about horde saddly) and you can become a weaponsmith without having to do the weaponsmith quest

Hope that helped you guys ^.^
